Just start off by admitting that you are tired of your current situation and will make a vow to change things for the better. This quote by Misty Copeland reminds me of my life. I was a total fuck up until about the age of 27…. I had my first child, was in a bad relationship, running around in the streets, had the worst health of my life and had fallen on hard times financially. I got tired of being broke, sickly and unhappy and made a vow to changes things for the better. Misty Copeland started studying ballet when she was 13 years old which is considered late for a ballet dancer. However, she didn’t let that stop her. She went on to make history and became the first Black woman to be made principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre. The moral is...Don't let what you think are limitations stop you from trying. Just minutes after I touched down here in Vegas last night the fun started. Some of these guys I haven’t seen in years, but even still we always reconnect just as if we’ve never missed a step. One of the things that I am extremely grateful for is having a wide variety of friends and associates from all walks of life, races, ages and personal experiences. I think variety helps us grow and keeps us young. But if you get this right and stick with it, you can spend on these other things with fewer worries. The beautiful thing about these four categories is that when done properly 95% of your spending can fall into one of them at a minimum. To all of the under 30 year olds who are having a hard time paying their bills, behind on your rent/mortgage, have bad credit scores, evictions, repossessions, negative bank accounts, NSF fees, bounced checks, and feeling like no one understands you… Hold your head up, keep working hard and never give up. Outside of being evicted, I dealt with ALL of these issues, plus some and overcame them all. Sometimes it takes separating yourself from others before you can find yourself.
