“The big baby has a lot of fears. More so than I. I’m scared of water, and she is too in some respects; but only water that is flowing; like a river or an ocean, anything that can drag you out. Mainly it’s a movies fault she developed this fear; and the fact she was a little too adventurous one summer in the river and tried to swim the width. Some hunk in a canoe came to the rescue. She’s scared of bees; mainly because she may be allergic; but she’s never been stung before. And don’t get me started on the ridiculous fear of aliens; as if they’re real. And of course; the ever so dumb ‘big crunch’ as if it’s going to happen in her life time. Space and the whole climax thing really has her wound up. The fact the world may crumble in on itself, or the giant heat wave scorching everything to ashes or the giant water wave; brings the ocean fear into affect. Who knows? But the possibility has her shaken.”

“The idiot gets addicted to things too easily, not even attached but addicted. She’ll watch one dinosaur documentary; then she will watch them all; back to back until there done. She’ll try a new biscuit or snack and that’s all she will want until she finds another new type. Finds a book; she will reread it and only it, until she finds a newer one. It’s a bad thing and she knows it. That’s mainly why she made friends with people who push her to do new things; otherwise she would be caught up in doing nothing but the same thing forever.”

“ An apple a day keeps anyone    away if you THROW it hard enough.”

                     “You do know they’re different colours                      right? That’s not normal. My height is                      perfectly fine.”      

                           “Oh, touchy.” Andy mused; crawling past the                            dirt pile she had created and over to the desk;                            peeking over the table top to take a look at the                            book. “What are you studying that’s so important,                            anyway?”

           "What are you? A big baby. It’s just a bug.”                  Hues narrow slightly before lightening a                  little and with a sigh; she reaches for                  his shoulder and FLICKS the bug off.                  “There, all gone. You’re welcome.”    

                         “I guess Carol will call the police. Pretty weird for a                          guy to be sitting outside a children’s home, y’know?                          I’m just trying to give you a WARNING. And yes,                          Dummy, that’s you.”  

                         Indeed; she had gotten off at the wrong stop. And of course,                          Andy was lost, fingers etching to the back of her neck to                          rub it with perplexity streak her features, only to catch a                          glimpse of someone surveying her from a far. She                          stared back for a moment before offering a shrug toward                          them as if to ask; “What are YOU looking at?”  

                   “Oh look, an angry ELF; who let you                            escape from Santa’s workshop?”

          “What’s it look like I’m doing? I’m             having a peek through your note             pad. You let your guard down, sir.”
