Kiyoshi had slowly gotten used to shifting, but honestly it was the most uncomfortable thing he had ever done. Feeling his bones shift beneath his skin, his claws pushing through, skin changing to fur. Teppei had started learning new shifts, but his favourite had to be the dog. He turned from a six foot four man, to a 2 foot tall Leonberger - weighing the same amount as his human form. His senses were heightened as his canine form, the problem was how big a breed he could shift into. He hadnโt managed to change that yet. There was still a lot to learn.ย
But one mistake was enough to change his life. Hunters. A breed of humans that think theyโre doing the right thing. And half the time Kiyoshi would agree that they were, but hunting monsters that were innocent was just rude. And he had a pack of them after him. He managed to avoid them for the most part; at least he thought as he ran through the woods.ย
Once he stopped though, Teppei noticed he hadnโt got away completely. A silver bullet was burning his chest. One of them had shot him. Blood started dripping onto his light brown fur. He tried to shift back out, but the silver in the bullet prevented his talent, it stopped his healing too. He walked through the forest, coming out at the village that was hidden by it, limping in and it hit him; the smell of magic. The whole place... it was everywhere. It made his vision blurry with so much going on. It was then that he ended up at a house by the woods, collapsing on the decking with a thud and a low whimper.ย
