Dawson raised a brow in mild surprise, a smile once again tugging at the corners of his lips. “Has it? I’m rather impressed you’ve not changed it to some room for your experiments.” He stated, shaking his head slowly. He cleared his throat again before he looked to Basil, “I was hoping so. To return. Again. If you shall have me.” He finally murmured, looking flustered.

"Well," he chuckled lightly, “Mrs Judson wouldn’t stand for more of the place being filled with equipment…" He smiled with a softer expression than usual, nodding. “Of course, my dear fellow. You’re always welcome here on Baker Street."

"Wonderful. I found I've quiet missed the comfort of Baker Street and it's companions. Loneliness is an ill feeling I will be pleased to say goodbye to." He stated softly, his attention fading from the present before he gave a sharp shake of his head and looked to Basil. "Forgive me, I found myself lost for a moment. Dreadful business." He murmured before he was quick to give Basil a smile. "Beside for your cases, how are you?"

“Yes. I do remember those times.” Dawson responded, nostalgia filtering into his tone before he gave a slight tilt of his head and small warm smile. “Don’t fret so much, dear Basil. As always, another case will come and occupy your time.” He stated, giving his old friend a mild look before he caught what he was doing and cleared his throat, shifting awkwardly in the chair.

“Yes, yes, of course.” He replied a bit absently, shifting from foot to foot. “And you… you’re returning here to Baker Street, then? Your room has been kept much the same…” He cleared his throat and folded his paws behind his back, trying to keep the nostalgic hope from his voice with only partial success.
