Well she was gonna pull out her gun either way, but you really ruined the mood with the last bit. Zora scrunches up her nose, and without hesitation, aimed right for the foot and shot a whole barrel into your shoes.

Horizon rolls her eyes as Raychel continued on. “Well, was gonna consider it, but-” She places a hand on her chest and feigns chivalry, “- I’d like t’say I offer my service to th’independent draws ‘nstead. But I’ll keep that in mind if I’m bored!” Bored and with nothing better to do. And she has a whole lotta better to do then be helpful!

She raises an eyebrow, glance to and fro as Raychel made work on the treat, before looking back with another grin, but more compressed. “Already got a place in mind,” She drawls, “so I’ll be waitin’ for ya, Temper! “…I never said I was doing this for the police, Zora. Call it a independent claim if you’re so adamant about not contributing to anything to the other side of the law.”

While her expression–dull as ever–doesn’t change, she does flick her eyes to the ground for a moment. Okay, she could have worded that better, but…wasn’t an outright no. A half-success, if one could call it that. Raychel didn’t have her hopes up that high anyway. She’ll ask another time when Horizon forgets this little conversation eventually.

Tosses the piece of chocolate at her. “Guns to a sword fight. Of course. I take it no Epithets or the like, or are you going to put me out of my misery?”

If she’s going to go toe to toe with death bullets, she would LIKE a heads-up before going full throttle into a possibly lethal combat situation. That’s just how it is with Zora Salazar–always a chance you’re not going to walk out of her sight alive. Worth it, though. It’s going to make her next project a bit more interesting.

 Suppose ‘helping her with research on combatting Class Three criminals for her glowstick toy’ is ‘helping’, but comparing sword-fighting and bounty hunting (but this time, consciously hunting bounties to aid the long arm of the law), she’ll take that nice change of pace anytime she’s free.

Oh, she’s here for something else? Unusual for what she can recount, but Horizon sobers up for what Raychel’s got to say, the smirk ever dancing as she replies, "Sounds good to me!” with no intentions on making it good for Ray’s end.

Horizon pauses again. “And if it’s a bounty kept hushed about and don’t want a whole racket ‘bout it, I guess.”

The grin cracks back up on her face as she straightens up. “Why’s that you asked? Stuck ‘n a lil’ prickle?”

“My career options just widened up a bit, then.” And the officer doesn’t elaborate further on that part. As if she was just having a pleasant chat about the weather, Raychel goes on. “There ARE a few on the bounty list that could use some questioning if you want something else to do. Interesting ones. On the hushed side, as you put it. You name a price–doesn’t have to be money, even.”

“Ugh–well, now that we got that out of the way.” Ray goes on, entirely ignoring the cowgirl’s not-so-subtle jab at another swordfight. Well, almost. “Later, Salazar. I came to ask you a question. Give me a good enough answer and you can name the time and place.” Because it’s never easy or simple with her.
