hey you know what was heartbreaking? ko tryin desperately to convince himself that meeting hajime in island mode was bad luck because if it was good luck, then it would be ripped away from him just like everything else in his life was as soon as the world sets things straight with the equally bad luck. komaeda was terrified that the only person who ever reached out to him, let alone be called a friend of all things, would be taken away as a punishment for the cycle that plagued him every day. hajime had to be, no, needed to be bad luck to Komaeda because if he wasn’t, the one thing ko had been searching for and craved would die and strip him further from his humanity.
