I just heard about the anti-🧊 general strike happening tomorrow and I decided since I don't have much choice with my other job that I'd close shop for just tomorrow, fri 30th. I'll be open back up on saturday :-)

I wanted to write out what’s happened/been happening in my life lately.

As some of you may know, I tend to dog/pet sit somewhat often, especially for my sister and their two labs. On Monday, I was asked to check in on them during the work day because she said Murphy wasn’t feeling well. I feel so much guilt in retrospect because if any of us knew how serious it was I would have gone over immediately. Unfortunately, when I went over to check on them, it was already too late. While it was immensely stressful to walk into, the mourning phase has been so much more painful. We don’t know what happened. I personally believe and I think others believe he had something like cancer or something else that was never detected in the past.

I’ve done nothing but cry and sob over the past couple days. They say that sometimes it’s harder to lose a pet or dog than a human because of their unconditional love. And that’s exactly how Murphy was. It didn’t matter what mood you were in or if you weren’t doing your best, Murphy would always be there to love you no matter what. I love cats, but we really don’t deserve dogs.

However, to make matters worse, my mom has been emitted to the hospital yesterday. Thankfully it wasn’t quite the immediate emergency like Murphy but she needs to get her back checked out due to something not looking right. I was able yo visit her and my sister in the hospital today and we had a nice long conversation. It’s rare when the three of us could talk like we did. In the meantime, I’m checking in and taking care of my dad since he is disabled and needs assistance. I picked up Bonnie (the other dog) and she got to hang out with him today.

With the holidays coming up, I just wanted to put this message out there- please let your loved ones know that you love them. Because you may not know when it’s too late.

I’ve been both reminiscing and brooding over life lately. I’m just very thankful for everyone who were and are a part of my life. I have no idea what life has in store for me in 2026 but 2025 has been a wild ride- both amazing and god awful at the same time. So much stress but so much amazing shit too (like traveling out to cons like Sakuracon and Sonic Expo Dallas!) I hope there will be more of that next year. But I’m also scared. Fear has been in the air for a lot of us lately, hasn’t it?

Just remember who you are and who you love. Figure it out one step at a time. Life can really suck, but it can also be amazing.
