I like to think that Slytherin house actually produces a large amount of healers. Let’s look at their attributes. They are Resourceful, Cunning, and Ambitious. 

To be a medic you need to be resourceful and tend to wounded/ill with whatever is on hand, especially as a field medic or to make a diagnosis with limited info and materials. 

Now cunning implies reaching an end by deceit, this works for my other idea of most politicians being slytherins, but I think we can all agree that JK has a bias against slytherins so lets substitute it with crafty. Now to be a doctor you need to have an imagination and be Crafty to invent cures, find alternatives in a tough situations.
