He snapped back to reality with a heavy vent, gently tapping his chassis for one final test, feeling his digits smooth over plating. This was…he was real, or real enough—

"Hmm—?" He blinked, staring up at those hauntingly blue optics where there should be red. "Oh, I'm—I'm alright, I…" He tightened his grip on his chassis, finding himself leaning into his touch, though it felt odd with such small servos; pulling back all too quickly, reaching up to cup his servos and bring them down.

Yes, he supposed he would look different—he'd hope so at any rate. He made sure to strip himself of any remaining reminders of him, of Gildedwing. The name alone left a sour taste in his mouth, just barely managing to keep a hold over his expressions as he was suddenly the subject of Damus' attention once more.

"It's…it's alright, we're on a ship—Gildedwing is," dead and gone. "He's ah…he's not here at the moment, it's safe." He offered him a false, yet reassuring smile.

"I promise." I won't let him hurt you again. "Let's umm…let's go back in here, shall we? I'll…I'll clean this up, and then we can talk, ok? You must have so many questions…" He trailed off, using his thumb to caress the back of his palm.
