More little Robby with care giver Jack?
Thereโs a reason as to why Robby never let himself entertain little him. It wasnโt just because he was scared to get caught. There was something every kid had in them and that was hope. Even when he was actually a kid, he never kept his hopes up for anything, because he always got let down.
He didnโt want the same thing for little him, at least he had some innocence left in him. He knew not to want things, or ask for things, even wishing for this his has never said out loud. He always knew that in the end heโd be disappointing and he didnโt want that for little him. He didnโt want little him to have to worry about that, he didnโt want little him to experience the let downs, so he kept himself away from any of that, wanting to protect himself.
That slowly changed with the help of Jack, but very slowly.
Little Robby started to watch shows on the TV, but only with the help of his daddy, the remote being too difficult to use.
And then he slowly started watching videos on his iPad, albeit hiding it from his daddy. It wasnโt intentional, he wasnโt doing anything bad, but he was just scared. He didnโt want his daddy to know that he was watching YouTube videos; especially not ones of stickers. That was embarrassing, right?
For the first few weeks of this new found interest, heโd hide it from his daddy, only watching it when he was alone, when his daddy was at work.
He didnโt realize that it was showing up in his daddyโs feed, not knowing what a log in was, and that he was using his daddyโs account. Jack figured it out pretty quickly.
Jack knew to slowly approach the subject, knowing how fearful his boy was.
Jack started to play them on the TV, whenever they sat in the living room or when Jack needed to distract his baby while he cooked or going to the bathroom.
He watched his baby giggle, gasp, and smile while watching the sticker videos. Robby would squirm is his seat full of excitement whenever they would unpack the sticker. Jack would even hear his squeals as he held his plushies. It was so sweet to watch, Jack never commenting on the fact he knew that Robby was fascinated by the stickers.
It got to a point where thatโs all Robby watched, but he never actually told his daddy about wanting them.
The one thing he didnโt want to have was the hope of maybe getting his own stickers. He didnโt want little him to be heartbroken when he is told that he doesnโt deserve stickers.
He knows he already asks a lot from Jack, he didnโt want to be even more of a burden. So he keeps it in, no matter how badly he wants them.
โPeanut? Can you come here?โ Jack called from the dinning room. Robbyโs clumsy steps were heard by Jack, he waited for his sweet boy to pop by.
โH-hi daddy,โ Robby said stepping into view. He held his plushies against his chest, his free hand fiddling with the string from his sweater.
โThereโs something for you on the table. Itโs just a little surprise,โ Jack said softly, pulling Robby onto his lap.
Jack pampered his face with kisses, tickling his sides, hugging him to his chest.
โGo ahead and open it, baby. Daddy thinks youโll really like it.โ Jack pulled the box towards him.
Robby opened it slowly, gasping at the sight. โOh, is this for me daddy?โ
โMhmm, I got them just for you. Do you like them baby?โ Jack asked, helping Robby pull all the stickers out along with books to fill them with.
There were at lest 25 different packs of stickers all over the table, Jack had also bought him 5 book sets too. All his favourite things, all of them from his favourite videos.
โThank you , so so much. I love it,โ Robby cried, so happy that his daddy got him this. That his daddy knew he wanted them without having to ask once.
He had tears streaming down his face, from straight happiness and gratefulness. No one had ever done something so kind for little him.
His daddy knew him, his daddy cared about him. His daddy watched him and his little habits and got him these. They werenโt even just random stickers, they were stickers he wanted, from videos he liked and loved. His daddy took his time to find this all of this for him.
โOh baby, daddy is so happy you like them.โ Jack kissed Robbyโs cheek as he moved around the stickers looking at each pack.
โWhich one did you want to do first? Wanna do the farm one? Or the bakery? You pick baby boy,โ Jack said moving the chair closer to the table.
โHmm bakery? Is that ok?โ Robby asked softly, pulling the book towards him.
โAnything you want baby,โ
