"I'm...I'm fine, Antonia," her mother's voice answered, soft and raspy. Her form was curled up on her bed, the covers drawn up over her shoulders. Clara's hair was no longer up in the usual style, instead falling loose in tight curls, only laying close to her head where the bandages were wrapped. "I'm sorry for worrying you."

She lifted a hand up to grip the back of a chair, carefully pushing it over to be next to the bed. "No, no, mami, don't- I am worried, but it's not your fault." The technically-older woman sat down, biting the corner of her lip as she gazed down at her mother. "Just... please, are you sure you're okay? I was told how bad it was."

The door was pushed open after a brief hesitation, Antonia entering and pushing it softly shut again behind her. "I heard about..." She began only to trail off, scaly tail scraping across the floor awkwardly. "... Do you need anything?"
