My heart is filled with so much love as I held my daughter for the first time, tears of joy flowing, and she already has me wrapped around her tiny finger.

I’m so proud of my wife for being an absolute rockstar throughout this whole journey and for being such a champ yesterday.

To touch on that, kind of, as Backstrom as a friend, what has he meant to you, through your years in Washington?

It kind of destroys me on the regular that Backstrom, who’s normally all deadpan and serious, cannot stop smiling and laughing when asked about Ovechkin, and Ovechkin, who’s normally joking and goofing off 24/7 goes deadly serious and intense when asked about Backstrom.
