Little Follower 🍀 Haley + Nara
“Ah, I’m sorry!” Nara replied a little out of breath. “Thanks for stopping, it seems like my cat found an interest in you! I hope he wasn’t too annoying – he usually doesn’t just run away like this.”
In a quick motion, the brunette lifted her cat up and fastened the leash on its collar, so it couldn’t run away again. All the worry she’d felt until now, disappeared into slight exhaustion. She was happy about having her cat back but at the same time also scolded herself for the stupid idea.
After sitting the leashed cat down on the floor, Nara scratched the back of her neck and looked the other female, that appeared to be a little older than Nara herself. “Sorry again, I shouldn’t have let him off his leash.”
“This is your cat?” She did her best to keep the annoyance out of her voice, but her patience had really been wearing thin. “I mean, he wasn’t that bad, but he wouldn’t leave me alone. I felt like he was possessed or something.”
Haley watched as the woman attached a leash to the cat, an eyebrow quirking in amusement. Were cat leashes a normal thing? She could have sworn those were specifically for dogs, at least judging by her experience with animals. It looked utterly silly to her, but if it worked, it worked. And if it stopped the cat from following her, she was supportive of it.
“Do cats like to be on a leash? I’ve never seen one before,” she admitted, curiosity getting the best of her. In the city, cats were usually inside pets. If you saw one wandering the streets, it was probably a stray. But here, she could honestly never tell.
