okay still thinking about this. we would encourage everybody to take a moment and think about where everything around them came from. the raw materials and who cultivated and harvested them. where they were refined. where they were assembled into the objects around you. all the people involved in every step of the process. all the electricity involved. all the water. the West's overconsumption is killing people and killing our planet

and like. this isn't to guilt people or make them feel bad or anything. the point is to just be aware. to think about how your consumption is impacting people you will never meet. what their working conditions are like. how much they're paid. how these products went from raw materials to the thing in your hand. it is nearly impossible to live in the imperial core and not take advantage of it. it's just so normalized and built into our lives that yeah, what's available to you is not always fair trade or sustainable or transparent about their practices. youre not like an evil person for buying a T-shirt from hot topic or whatever. just be aware and conscious and think about the ways you can limit your support of imperialism

there is this thing called a "kitty cat". and you can get one for inside your home, and it will sit on all of your surfaces, and you can pet it.
