Log Off Protest - Phase Three

Starting February 1st at 12 am EST and extending to February 8 at 12 am EST, Phase Three consists of logging off Tumblr for an entire week and sending daily tweets to those who oversee Tumblr. 

Phase Three’s main goal is to drop Verizon’s stock and to make Tumblr aware we are not standing by as they censor users and enforce a shoddy Flagging system. By tweeting each day, we gain exposure on our cause and put pressure on Tumblr to change. 

It’s not healthy to be online for more than 15 hours a week. So by logging off Tumblr for a week, you can reduce this time online and do other healthier activities. Find a new hobby, maybe visit some places, work on schoolwork, play a new video game, and so on. The things you can do other than log onto Tumblr (a singular website) is endless. 

That last post I reblogged got me thinking more about what a strange presence he is. There’s something I’d noticed beforehand that I didn’t realize has also to do with Rouxls.

First of all, Seam mentioned that a “strange knight” and his “strange son” have been put into power.

Why does he need to specify each time that the knight and his son are strange?

Because by strange, he doesn’t mean odd.

He means that the knight and his son are not from here. They are foreigners, coming from either another world or another kingdom. Which only makes me think more that Rouxls Kaard is the son that is spoken about.

Here, I’ll tell you what I mean.

Have you all noticed that, when in the Dark World, the color black is only reserved to sprites of Darkners?

Yeah. Look at the difference in comparison to the two Lightner sprites of Kris and Susie.

Though Susie is clearly dressed in black, the color isn’t pitch black. It falls short by a little. I’ll highlight the difference from the shades I copied from her and Ralsei’s sprites:

You see it, right?? This is different from the Lightners’ “Light World” sprites, where black is still allowed.

So there’s a very clear difference being (literally) drawn between Lightners and Darkners, the occupants of their two respective homeworlds.

But.

The only exception to this rule seems to be a very special Rouxls. Rouxls Kaard, someone who is supposedly a Darkner.

Yet, his sprite doesn’t even contain one pixel of black. Huh? Why this exception?

Not to mention, remember how he holds a shop in Card Castle? But… That also looks different from the other shop we get to visit in the Dark World. The shop of Seam. Look at the difference.

Seam is still in color.

Rouxls, except for his mouth, is in black and white. Wait, but why?

It kind of reminds you more of…

Rouxls Kaard is not from the same place all the other Darkners are, if he is one. I mean, why else the exception?

Log Off Protest - Phase Two!

December 29, 2018 (12 am Est) - December 31, 2018. (12 am EST).

This time around - we’re not logging off. Instead, we’ll be banding together and pressuring corporations on social media and app stores. There are two steps to this Phase that are as follows:

1) Mass Tweeting.

For EVERY DAY of this Phase (So at least one tweet December 29, December 30, and December 31), tweet @ the following:

@verizon @yahoo @tumblr @jeffdonof​

These are all corporations that own and are related to Tumblr. Jeff D'Onofrio is the CEO of Tumblr. Tweet at them saying WHAT is wrong with this ban, HOW it affects you, and WHAT you want to be done about it. Tag each tweet with #phasetwo2018!

2) Mass Reviews

Go to Tumblr on the app store of your choice (Apple or Google) and leave a negative review. Tell them WHY the ban is wrong, HOW it affects you and your experience, and WHAT you want to be done.

Post each review online with a screenshot. Tag each post with #phasetwo2018!  We need to lower their rating, and show them we mean business. No longer will be ignored. We’ll make them listen.

First of all, this is just bullshit. Pure, plain bullshit straight from a bull’s ass.

You’ve never loved your user base. You’ve never even acknowledged us. For years and years we have been complaining about the pornbot, pedos and nazi problem and you have done jack shit about it other than implement a block button. You could of fixed it with something like a recaptcha to keep out the porn bots, or have a surveyor that targets nazis and child porn and deletes the blog immediately. But you didn’t. Instead, actual people that weren’t hired by you at all, did that job in targetting the pedos and nazis and porn bots and reporting them to another website because you weren’t doing jack shit.

Then, you got deleted by the app store. Oh no! How could this happen? It couldn’t be the nazis or the porn bots or the pedos, could it?? No, it must be ALL adult content!!! The last time i checked, teratophillia didn’t hurt kids, child porn does. The last time i checked, “female presenting nipples” didn’t hurt diversity, nazis do. You’ve gone and fucked over so many people because of this desicion. Nsfw artists, lgbt+ people that may want to share their top surgery progression and sex workers can no longer call Tumblr a safe space.

All because you never listened to us.

We aren’t tumblr, you are. Don’t act like this is our fault, because it isn’t. It’s yours, because you can’t run a website.

We can’t shape the Tumblr community in what we want it to be. We don’t own the site, YOU DO. You control literally everything and you could make this site so much more if you just did what so many of us asked years ago.

Even MacDonalds listens to its billions of customers. And yet, you can’t seem to even figure out a bot problem.

I went into the Papyrus fight with 1 HP to see what’d happen (since normally that’s the point where he’d stop the fight and just capture you) and lo and behold,

I was back up to max as soon as it began.

Now, this could just be the game’s way of snipping out a loophole (goodness knows Toby’s always on top of the “things people will try just because they can” game), but seeing as this also happens when you actually lose to Papyrus and end up in the shed, I see this as Papyrus recognizing the human is in poor shape, and choosing to use healing magic to give them the benefit of a fair fight. I was weak enough that he could’ve just captured me right off the bat, but it speaks volumes about both his confidence and kindness that he would instead make sure the person he’s fighting has everything they need to do their best against him.
