You’ve gotten a ton of praise before for this but I also have to add to it:
I hate fanfics. Hate them. I have never (and this is not an exaggeration) been happy with them before. The writing style never matches the author’s at all, the characters are always completely different and simply sharing the same name…. But MT?
Absolutely boggled my mind. Your writing style is not the same as Meyers’, but your writing style is *amazing*. Seriously, if you don’t have your own works published then you really need to think about it. Your writing voice is easy to follow along with while still having a great vocabulary, very descriptive, and your character development leaves nothing lacking.
I just discovered MT 5 hours ago and I sat here and read the entire thing. Yes, I changed position on my couch a few times but MT held my attention for the entire 5 hours. And then I felt the need to come onto tumblr (which I haven’t used in years) to tell you how you actually managed to craft an amazing fanfic. I don’t think any other could compare to it, really.
Your depiction of SA was incredible. Too often, authors throw it in clumsily for shock value. Bella’s SA and her healing from it was real, it was something any of us could have gone through (vampire boyfriend or not) and it was refreshing to see realistic ways of coping and recovering. Your depiction of Edward was just… wow. Honestly your work involving him is even more canon to me than the actual work itself.
LOVED IT. Keep writing!
I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to leave me such a kind, detailed, thoughtful review. It might just be one of the best compliments I’ve ever gotten. I have not written or published any original works but it’s always at the back of my mind that I might like to someday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this little treasured piece of encouragement. I will keep it with me always.
Wishing you the very best.
Sincerely,
Lisa
