AHHHH I AM FINALLY BACK TO DRAW HTTYD FANART.

I want to know what Hiccup’s gifted Astrid! I know he’s given her those knives, but I don’t remember anything else. Astrid honestly doesn’t seem the type to really want anything, so what could Hiccup give her besides weapons?

Hiccup seems the type to have a million little details in his clothing or wear a ton more jewelry than Astrid (although I see you, Astrid, with your cute layered outfit in HTTYD 3).

I think it’d be easy to give Hiccup a gift. He’s a craft maker at heart. She could totally make anything she wanted and just give it to him and he’d be like “wow you made this???? For me????” Course Astrid might not know what to make, but it’s just funny lol.

Not sure what his thought process was, but Hiccup just accepts Eret as one of them when Astrid brings the trapper along in the battle. Maybe he thought, well if Astrid trusts him enough to ride with him (because she trusts no one) then ok 👍

And then in the graphic novel that takes place right after HTTYD 2, the village is giving Hiccup grief about Thor knows what and Eret is the first to step in and defend his CHIEF. Eret, an outsider, immediately supports the new leader just like that.

AH. It just gave me immediate respect for the man.

And in HTTYD 3 I love Eret, Astrid, and Hiccup’s convo about Grimmel because AGAIN, Eret is one of the few people to recognize and respect Hiccup’s title as Chief because no one else seems to take him seriously like they did Stoick (which could be because one, they’re different and two, Hiccup’s new at it and probably not at all ready).
