Diabetics dont have that luxury! Without medication, our body is in a constant crisis where we need more sugar and the sugars that break down the fastest are sweets! But then they dont all get absorbed, then the unabsorbed sugar hangs out in our bloodstream then gets flushed out, and then we still need more. All those healthy things break down too slowly for when we're in a crisis, and then we STILL dont absorb all of it! And I'm only talking about type 2, type 1 cant absorb anything at all because they dont have any insulin!

You cannot healthy eat or diet your way out of diabetes. You cannot lose weight out of diabetes. Once you get diabetes, even if you manage your symptoms perfectly you HAVE diabetes. You have a chronic illness. And that means its time to see doctors, get on medications, and practice self care.

And sometimes self care means you eat dessert first while dinner is cooking so you have the energy to finish cooking. Sometimes that means eating many small meals to match your body's absorption rate. Sometimes that means eating at midnight so you have the blood sugar to sleep.

I couldn’t stop thinking about all those “Justice League plays F/M/K with the local billionaire population and Batman must sit there and suffer awkwardly” posts so I decided to flip it round a bit

So for Bruce my premise for the design is a Bruce Wayne who has all the brains, willpower, and drive as regular Batman, but just isn’t physically capable of becoming a brick wall of a man. So he’s much more rogue-like in design, with a bigger emphasis on stealth and gadgetry to accomplish his goals. His fighting style is basically “avoid fighting if at all possible, and if not then incapacitated as quickly as possible” with a lot of dirty fighting and using the enemy’s momentum against them (He’s actually….. a lot like Catwoman in that way? Maybe they bond over flexibility training tips (…that wasn’t intended to be a euphemism)). Additionally he looks perpetually pale and sick because of how little sun/sleep he gets, He uses a lot of bronzer when he switches to “Brucie”.

For Diana my concept was basically the same as canon but BIG. Ehehe I’m joking, a bit more went into it then that, but making her look like the ideal of an ancient Greek athlete was the biggest goal. I tried to make her look more mediterranean, with olive skin and hazel green eyes, and that gorgeous nose you see in ancient Greek art. Also more classical Greek elements in her armor (im not a historian I did my best) and I really liked the torso eagle from earlier WW designs so I incorporated that too. Her civilian style is supposed to be very casual/comfortable but stylish and professional, and her golden sword necklace can turn into an actual sword so she’s always ready for action!
