I figured as much. I’ve always thought myself to be especially adaptive - it’s a tremendously important attribute to embody when you’re a performer, after all - but I too have found myself utterly deluged with everything that’s been thrown at us in such a short span of time. From the absolute wonder of living in the New York City, to the admittedly frightening concept of an academic curriculum that revolves heavily around Dominant/submissive culture - it’s all managed to throw me for quite the loop, so it’s perfectly understandable that you’ve taken it upon yourself to acclimate to everything at your own pace. How are you feeling - now that the bulk of all the change has taken it’s time to settle with you? Better, I hope?
As for our plans to immerse ourselves in all that Broadway has to offer, I’m positively delighted that you’re still interested! I’m fairly certain that there’s some sort of discount on tickets for students - so it’d serve us well to look into that. Should we still start with On the Town, or was there another production that you’d prefer?
Oh, I am as well, usually, but like you just said, this whole culture is... a big different, and there’s not a little to get used to. The fact that we’re in New York makes up for it though, so I am still pleased. After a few classes, I can safely say that I actually find them interesting, and, uh... well, different. I am hoping to learn a lot while we’re here.
Oh I am still most definitely in! Missing out on such an opportunity while being here should be a crime, and it just cannot not happen. Are you kidding me? Dancing sailors and gorgeous dresses? Sign me up!
