Every time I open a post window (trying to choose which of my hoarded likes I want to reblog today) I keep getting a βchecking your browserβ screen, and itβs been happening way too often this past week, and now Iβm getting scared.
Usually, thereβs one blog I follow that tends to do it (and they have a different custom theme that I think triggers it more), but now itβs happening on everything, and Iβve heard the βchecking your browserβ comes up when Tumblrβs system is struggling to tell if youβre a bot or notβ¦ and so now Iβm worried if I reblog a bunch of posts today itβs going to trip over and think Iβm a bot, and Iβm not trying to turn into a pixel blog here! (Though the way things have been going, my spidey-senses are questioning if Tumblr would decide that would be a great crappy birthday gift for me).
Ugh! Has this been happening to anyone else more than usual?
I'm getting βchecking your browserβ screen on different browsers, on different devices, on both of my accounts. Just every time when i'm opening a post in a new window on a blog (url.tumblr.com) instead of on dashboard (www.tumblr.com/url). Does not matter if a blog has a complcated custom theme or a default basic tumblr theme. And I don't even use VPN. I started happening somewhere last week.
When I was away from home and checking tumblr on mobile data everything was loading without any interruptions. And then I remembered. Back at home I'm not using VPN, but my internet provider kind of does (my location according to my IP address always shows a vastly different city than I'm actually in, and it changes often). Maybe tumblr just stopped liking it?
Anyway, today everything is working normally again.
