Remember in twilight, I think at the end of new moon, Bella and Edward are arguing about who loves the other the most. Edward is like, ‘well I was willing to leave you and never see you again, which is the greatest sacrifice, so clearly I win.’ And Bella counters with ‘well I had no say and hated it and was extremely and dangerously suicidal. Literally no one could get me to stop trying to kill myself. So I win.’ That’s them, that’s destiel.

Why do people talk as if s4 Cas knew about the Apocalypse? As if he deliberately lied to Dean about wanting to stop it? He didn't know that Heavens wanted the Apocalypse to happen. He fully believed Dean was meant to save the entire world. From Cas' point of view, Dean was resisting Heaven, because he was a stubborn idiot who didn't understand the importance of this mission. When Cas learned about Heavean's plans, he immediately rebelled and tried to tell Dean everything he knew, but was caught, brainwashed and tortured before he could do anything. It's actually a miracle he managed to recover from his brainwashing session so soon and rebel with Dean in 4x22.

Cas has been knowingly helping to make the Apocalypse happen for like an episode and a half, and he was clearly not entirely himself during that time, because he was freshly brainwashed.

honestly it's so funny cause i'm a proshipper (aka i think people can do whatever they want with fiction) so when i told jensen not to equate destiel with w*ncest it wasn't even bc i'm against it, i simply think you can't compare a canon ship (even if you think it's only half canon) with a fanon one, especially of that nature since it's not like. game of thrones we're talking about. he could've used any regular ship, one that is at least comparable. obviously in that moment i was also reminded of j*red's rant at dencon and of the common homophobic rhetoric that is comparing queerness to things like incest, pedophilia etc. and while that may not be intentional in either case, it can still be harmful. again, we wouldn't even be here if it had been a woman telling dean "i love you"
