Getting comfortable in a new relationship

2P!America: he’d basically be comfortable right from the start! he wouldn’t jump into hand-holding or anything like that, but he’d definitely become more affectionate around you and always be eager to show off you’re his.

2P!China: he’d probably be all flirty and say you’re his girlfriend before you’re even his girlfriend, but when you two actually become a couple, he’ll lose a bit of that confidence and become more shy, self-conscious, and insecure around you. he’d worry that he’s going to mess things up this early in the relationship and often think he’s not good enough for you, so it’d take a few weeks of reassurance for him to get comfortable with the new arrangement.

2P!England: he’d try a little too hard to get comfortable. he’d jump right into hand-holding and sweet nicknames - making things feel kind of forced. it would take about one week before he stopped trying to act like the perfect boyfriend and act like himself instead.

2P!France: it’d probably take like a month before he got accustomed to the new relationship. most of the time, he’d be wondering what he should be doing and concerned with the fact that he doesn’t know how to make relationships work.

2P!Russia: honestly, it would take about two months before he felt comfortable having an official lover. he wouldn’t know how to act around you or if he’s even supposed to act different. he’d slowly adjust on his own and eventually forget what it was like to be this clueless about love.

2P!Italy: he’d act a little too superficial and charming for the first two to three weeks; always putting on his best for you and determined to convince you that you made a perfect choice in picking him. after those weeks, he’d drop the facade and act his normal, flawed self around you - which is basically equivalent to being comfortable around you.

2P!Germany: like 2P!America, he’d be comfortable right from the start. he was probably already flirting with you a lot before you two became a couple, so the new relationship wouldn’t make much of a difference besides the fact that he can hug and kiss you a lot more often.

2P!Japan: have patience with this one. he’s barely even comfortable enough with his closest friends to tell them any of his secrets / feelings, so getting close with a new lover would take time. at most, three months. but when that time came, he’d be closer with you than anyone he knows.

2P!Canada: around two to three weeks, depending on the new lover. if you’re talkative and open about your feelings, it’d be easier for him to loosen up and become more outspoken, since he’s very protective and he wouldn’t know how to tell you unless the topic was easy to access.

2P!Romano: it’d take about four days before he calmed down from that ‘new relationship’ high. once all of his social media knew he was off the market, he’d finally get off that “i want to tell the whole world i’m in a relationship” phase, and regularly treat you like a princess who he cares about more than his social media.

2P!Austria: probably two weeks. he’d be overly caring in the beginning, trying to show how wonderful and chivalrous he is. finally after that wore off, he’d get more rough and casual with you instead of always trying to be your knight in shining armor. the comfortable point in the relationship would be when he’s both your silly best friend and boyfriend.

2P!America: “Oh hey gorgeous,” He smirked. “…I regret nothin’.”

2P!China: As soon as he saw you, his eyes widened and he began quietly giggling. “Babe, you’ll never guess what… I was literally just having a dirty dream about you.”

2P!England: Instantly, his face flushed bright pink. “O-Oh? You said you heard me say something? Ahahaha…” His laughter was nervous and high-pitched. “Of-Of course not, poppet! I was sleeping rather dreamlessly, I swear it…!”

2P!France: “Oh…” He yawned blearily. “That happens.”

2P!Russia: He blushed furiously and attempted to hide his face from you. “I said no such thing…”

2P!Germany: “Huh?” He looked at you and then looked down at his sleeping position. “Oh… damn, I could’a sworn we were having sex just now…” He laughed it off and proceeded to get up as normal.

2P!Japan: “Now’s not a good time,” He growled as he got up to push you out of the room – mainly just to hide his flushed appearance.

2P!Canada: Below his breath, he murmured, “Well, fuck.” Without thinking, he grabbed a pillow and hurled it at you. “Get out.”

2P!Romano: He removed his sleeping mask and blinked at you a few times. “Oh…?” A grin broke across his face. “Darling! I was just having the most lovely dream about you.~”

2P!Austria: He peered at you and smiled mischievously. “Ah, my dear, do you believe in dream interpretation?”

he’s very narcissist but in a charming way and he’s flamboyant, animated, a bit feminine and he prides himself on being the definition of royalty.

He talks in an overly flowery manner, using words such as glorious, tedious, grandiose, impeccable, perchance, exuberant, ostentatious, etc

He uses a lot of petnames, such as sugar, darling, duchess, princess, sweetheart etc

He thinks of himself as graceful and always moves in a confident sashay / is prone to that sparkle-sparkle background such as a certain 1P Frenchman

@ask-2p-austria was a great inspiration and I’m still kinda bummed that I wasn’t on tumblr when that blog was active

He’s always encouraging Gilen to speak up more and showing him off to others. Roland’s God-complex mixes well with Gilen’s timid shyness and they bring out the best in each other.

He doesn’t give two shits about 2P Italy tbh, just as long as “that little brat doesn’t taint my name.”

He’s very interested in black magic, witchcraft, voodoo, astrology, fortune-telling, psychics, sorcery, tarot- and palm- reading. He gets along well with 1P England because of this. 2P Austria is sometimes portrayed as a necromancer or a ghost whisperer. He probably has great experience with phantom hunting, poltergeists, spirit summoning and seances.

He’s a big horror freak

His glasses serve a purpose, unlike his 1P’s. He created them himself; when he puts them on, it makes a barrier between him and the spirit world. He basically shuts out ghosts when he doesn’t want to see them by putting on the spectacles.

first off, Gilen is a shy, quiet, insecure, sweet lil angel

Lutz is a carefree, friendly, hilarious, outgoing, flirtatious lil devil

clearly, their personalities clash and literally everyone’s jaw drops when they find out Gilen is Lutz’s older brother

over the years, Gilen tried his best to act like an older brother to Lutz, but he always worried he was doing something wrong, mainly because of his lack of self-esteem. “I hope Lutz never ends up like me.” Gilen never believed he was a good role model but he taught Lutz everything about being a polite, kind, responsible person.

as they got older, Gilen’s mental breakdowns got worse and Lutz became more like the ‘older brother’, always taking care of him,cheering him up, looking out for him, etc “Hey Bruder don’t forget to take your happy pills!”

Gilen is very self-conscious about his scars - especially the ones on his face - but Lutz always reassures him that he looks fine and/or jokes around that “chicks dig scars.”

the scars on his face are from climbing trees too much as a kid and face-planting into the thorny bushes one time too many

they enjoy spending time together and have a great brotherly relationship; the only problem is Gilen is too nervous to hang out with him when his friends are around. he’s pretty anti-social so he tries to stay away from Lutz’s friends (1. he’s intimidated by them, 2. he doesn’t think they’ll like him and 3. he doesn’t want to embarrass Lutz).

nevertheless, Lutz always tries to get him to be more social, and often invites him to parties and such, to which he usually declines.

the few times when he does agree, Lutz gets mega excited and drags him around the whole party/ gathering, showing off his ‘awesome big brother’ and introducing him to everyone, much to Gilen’s mortification and horror

in middle school, due to his fragile, feminine, albino appearance, Gilen was the victim of bullying. once Lutz finally found out in high school, he nearly went on a rampage and honest-to-god wanted to tear those bullies to pieces for hurting his beloved older brother.

Lutz became like his bodyguard after that.

he usually isn’t the type of person to engage in violence, nor does he yell at anyone often, but he makes it clear he’ll protect Gilen till the end. “Hahahah, yeah, my brother’s kinda shy but I’ll fuckin’ inhale anyone who teases him.”

((So, I wanted to write about their negative points while in a relationship, since I recently did their positive points~))

2P!America: At some point, his charming guardian-like behavior might start to feel like he’s being plain overprotective. Not only that, but he has a temper and has a tendency to shout when he’s angry. Problems would arise if you two had similar hothead personalities. You’d have to be calm, mellow, soothing, and a good talker if you wanted things to work out.

2P!China: With his seemingly confident exterior and flirting habits, one would never guess that he’s actually insecure about himself – especially when he’s crushing on someone or in a relationship. He’d feel that you’re too good for him, but would never show it and keep it bottled up, which would eventually hurt him severely. You’d have to keep this relationship very open about innermost feelings to keep it emotionally healthy for him.

2P!England: He thinks he knows how relationships work and how he’s supposed to act in them, but he doesn’t realize that romance isn’t like what you get out of a fairy tale book. He’s very affectionate, yes, but all his hugs and kisses might compensate for a lack of communication. To keep both you and him happy, you’d have to make an effort to get to know him deep down – past all the sugary sweetness and down to the bitter inside.

Relations: 2P!Italy / Luciano Vargas

2P!America: These two do not get along well, seeing as Luciano is the leader of the Axis and Allen is the leader of the Allies. They see each other as rivals and are very competitive around each other. Whenever they pass each other in world conferences/ school hallways (depending on the AU), it’s not uncommon for them to let out snarky comments to each other. Their personalities clash, their egos are too big, and they both want to be the one giving orders. However, they’ll work together/ try to get along only if it’s absolutely necessary.

2P!China: They’re acquaintances at most. If needed to converse, they’ll be okay, but Luciano might think Zao’s a little too sloppy and distracted. Zao would be slightly attracted to Luciano’s mysterious and composed aura and wouldn’t be shy of acknowledging it. “You’re so cool Luciano, I don’t get why Allen doesn’t like you.” Overall, he thinks Luciano is cute (and maybe, kind of beautiful), and Luciano is indifferent towards him, but that would be subject to change if they were forced to come in contact more often.

2P!England: He thinks Luciano is “charming… in an Allen-type of way.” He gets that Luciano can be angered easily and is not one to be messed with. So, Oliver sees the similarities to his best friend, Allen. Therefore, he understands that Luciano isn’t as mean as he seems, and that there’s definitely some good hidden in the bad. He can see right through Luciano and immediately detect when he’s lying or figure out how he’s secretly feeling. Luciano finds this a little creepy, but has deemed Oliver as ‘harmless’, so they’re respectful around each other.

2P!France: “Yeah yeah; sure whatever, kid.” is a good way to describe Francois’s half of the relationship. He thinks Luciano’s something like a spoiled brat or just a child in general. He usually brushes him off and doesn’t give him the authority he expects, but that doesn’t mean he can’t acknowledge that Luciano is smart and capable despite always wanting to boss people around or be the center of attention. He respects him but doesn’t say or do much to show it.

2P!Russia: At times, he believes Luciano to be intelligent and level-headed, but then he sees the other sides of his personality and his opinion of him makes a complete one-eighty. For him, it’s tiresome to deal with Luciano’s constantly changing moods. He often tries to keep Allen and Luciano from fighting, usually by holding back Allen. However, he doesn’t blame Luciano for their arguments– he places the blame squarely on Allen because he thinks Luciano is too prideful to start confrontations.

2P!Germany: Their relationship is not complicated, but it is strange and maybe even a little baffling. To say the least, Lutz sees Luciano as his most trustworthy friend, even if they don’t have fun together the way most friends do. Lutz can rarely make Luciano laugh, although he often tries to. He doesn’t mind doing favors for him as long as it doesn’t get too excessive. He usually goes with or agrees with whatever Luciano says and – because they have the longest-standing truce-turned-friendship together – it’s almost like Lutz’s natural instinct to follow Luciano around. However, Luciano often takes him for granted/ treats him rudely, but their relationship is powerful enough to withstand the problems.

2P!Romano: dyed his hair in the school bathroom while he was supposed to be in class

2P!Austria: purposefully grabbed the off-limits ingredients during a chemistry lab and made an explosion thus causing the smoke alarm to go off which made the whole school go on a fire drill and even police/ fire fighters showed up (all because he didn’t want to take the chemistry final)
