I miss them

it's not that he's light either, not particularly so- he's lighter than Scar, or even Pearl, but he's still got that grounding, human weight to him- the weight of something alive and real.

it's comforting.

Mumbo finds he rather likes it, when Grian curls up on him. when he flops down to rest across his chest, or just sits himself down in his lap- there's a weight to him that's good, grounding, like Grian's an anchor, keeping him tied to the ground.

on his chest, Grian chirrs. he nuzzles his face into Mumbo's sleepshirt, hair tousled and wild, cheek flushed with sleep-warmth. Mumbo wants to touch him; press his fingers to the apple of his cheeks, slide his palm along the curve. wants to kiss the space between his brow, the dot of his nose.

Grian's a warm weight, a good weight. a weight Mumbo loves, treasures, and it's in the quiet moments of the night, when Grian's asleep, and Mumbo's alone with his thoughts, that he appreciates him the most.
