Man, tonight marks the end for me of six years of Teen Wolf. For all it’s campiness and the years of frankly awful seasons in between, the finale really brought on a deep nostalgia and appreciation for the series. As silly as it is this was totally formative for me - as a person, a storyteller, hell even my fashion sense was cultivated from countless hours of checking out the costume design. I looked up to Allison and Lydia, who were strong female leads easily holding their own and growing as characters. I grew up with them. I watched Scott and Stiles grow, and literally then have had the pleasure of following Dylan O’Brien as a much deserved boost in his acting career has happened and continues on today. I was contemplating earlier today that, should I ever have a show picked up or be asked to show run, Teen Wolf will be a big inspiration. There will likely be a werewolf teens episode or at least campy Twilight parody drama episode simply because this series has been such a facet of my life. Anyway, a bit of a ramble but I haven’t felt as much joy and sort of sense of “roots” in a long time. Thanks Teen Wolf.Â
