hi! what has been going on with henrysglock? i remember him during my brief stint on tfs tumblr. he’s one of the primary reasons i left. i didn’t even have any direct contact with him but his sheer negative energy from afar was enough to make uncomfortable lol.
Honestly, I imagine the usual shit he's been doing for the last four or whatever years it's been, but here's the recap: a 13-year-old child he was "best friends" with was in a multi-age TFS server, and since James is such a well-hated, racist, sketchy asshole in the fandom, some server members did not like him. He got mentioned somewhere (This may not be 100% accurate; this is second-hand info as I was not there when the server stuff occured as I don't join multi-age servers lol) for his sketchy behaviour, such as his inappropriate friendships with minors, and since one of the minors in question was in the server, they saw it and reported it back to him.
It caused a whole issue where he worked in collaboration with the minor in question and they basically decided to do a whole insane callout on one of the minors who was against James weird ass behaviour, in which James had the unmatched audacity to label this minor a "pedo" and a "groomer" essentially for "talking" to younger teens, nevermind the fact that he was the "bestfriend" of the SAME younger teen in question, at his big age of on the verge of twenty six, thus making himself a pedo and a groomer based on his own logic.
Unfortunately for James, I've never been as stupid as the rest of the ST fandom tends to be, and I got wind of this situation through someone else. I was low-key blown away by the fact that it was Henrysglock/James, formerly known as Laozusp, who was being such a raging chode and causing such an issue, because back in the start of the fandom, he and his friends used to shit on me for saying Henry was infected by the mindflayer in childhood, because they thought I was stupid and media illiterate and that Henry was a pedophile and a rapist and I was a freak for defending him all the time and yeah, I was, in fact, the guy who was doing all the Henry defending.
Like he was a major reason me and a lot of fans who have media literacy, turned away from the ST fandom and from posting our theories and thoughts (Which were all correct LOL) because him and his friends were both constantly trying to dunk on us for it because they thought WE were wrong, while ALSO pumping out brain-dead insane, literal fetish fuel slop in the form of their own ""theories"", which were just god awful out of touch headcanons they'd be writing literal porn about on their A03s, which pretty much made the fandom insufferable to be in as someone who literally understood anything about the canon text, but like... Idk, kudos to James for being able to produce such a sheer amount of idiotic fandom crushing low-value slop without AI, I guess? Given today's climate, I'm not sure that's a flex or not LOL.
Anyway, seeing him be both sketchy toward real minors, reading his MASSIVE, violently racist write-up on TFS, and also proclaiming himself Henry's #1 defender after all that was insane to me. Like, stolen valour, much? And the Racism. Dude, I can't understate the racism.
Worse, I read the callout he posted and started having flashbacks I had buried for nearly two decades of my own abuser from when I was 14, and so I made a big vague post here on my own blog talking about how wild it was to be treating a minor the way James was, eg: calling that minor a pedo and a groomer for shit that did not indicate they were a pedo and a groomer at all and shit that he was more guilty of than them.
About two weeks or so later, the minor who was best friends with James went through my blog and found my post and began sending asks, directing me toward the callout, which I'd already read and had nothing more to say. I mentioned it to my bestie, and they told me the person in question was really only 13 years old. This werided me out massively and I deleted the stuff she had sent me and blocked her.
However, she reported back to James, and James started name-dropping me on his blog, using aave and trying to act aggressive and intimidating toward me, (hilarious coming from a mega racist like ya notice how when white people wanna seem intimidating and aggressive they start tryna sound black? Like lmao.) and I'm sorry but I'm just not the one so I clapped back at him and dragged him for everything and it turns out James does not handle fighting with grown mature adults as well as he handles bullying and grooming minors and he started trying to lie about me doxing the minor and some other shit he literally just completely made up, kept making himself look stupid, started deleting and privating all his bullshit, which he then tried to claim was always private except no it wasn't and here we are. What a fucking tool.
I also had the minor he had become "best friends" with's irls contact me because of how she had started acting at school, and James got terrified to the point of apparently seeking legal advice, which is insanely funny and incriminating on its own but tl;dr: he was recklessly exposing her and other minors to inappropriate materials which is actually a minor felony in a lot of places, aside form, yknow, how inappropriate it is to be closing in on 30 and "best friends" with a literal 13 year old child and the obvious stress he had been causing her by dragging her into his drama to defend him, literally just wackass loser groomer shit on James behalf and she ended up deleting her blog and James is now on indefinite hiatus bc despite what he claims, his legal advice would have basically been to stfu and stay away from the people he's having the issues with, since he was def skating on some thin ice.
The minors' parents could have likely pursued some type of charges if they wanted, but ultimately, due to the internet being the stage for the issue, it would probably be more effort than it was worth to do so, and as long as James stays away and/or stops befriending minors and learns how to curate his space to exist appropriately beside minors at his big age, its chill but hes was 100% in the wrong in all of this and frankly if he cant admit that and apologize for it, I'll personally stay shitting on him until he can act right.
Happy ending, I guess. I mean, Im angry for the minors he hurt but at least it was kinda... Addressed and I can't help those who remain defending him outside of just being around and speaking on how inappropriate his behaviour actually is. You can read all about it in the #catboyjim tag, though.
Finally, as far as I'm aware there is no 18+ discord server. I believe its safer not to have one as minors have been lying about their ages left and right in the fandom and for that and a couple other reasons I would not be interested in one just personally.
