"A Fisherman's Goodbye" by the Dutch painter Philip Sadée (1837- 1904), who started painting biblical scenes and history paintings at the age of 20, but he later focused on everyday life. He was taken by the fishing life that fascinated him immensely. The beach and the sea became sources of inspiration and his view of the fisherman's life was completely original. His paintings depicted bright colors and accurate details.

"Dwarf Irises and Cottage", 1993, by Timothy Easton. That's where I belong..!

"The Execution of Lady Jane Grey" (1833) by the French painter Paul Delaroche. In a very melodramatic, bloody and so realistic scene, the blindfolded seventeen years old princess had to be helped to find the block she was going to be beheaded after crying out "What shall I do? Where is it?".
