What, me? High?
Aww, well alright. I’ll remind you later when I’m sobered up.
You do that.
What, me? High?
M’lady, you’re beautiful.
Thank you, but I don’t think I can take your compliment seriously when you’re high.
What, me? High?
Honey, the only thing I’m addicted to is that pretty smile of yours.
Excuse me?
What, me? High?
Hm… Feels pretty good to me!
You won’t be saying that when you’re addicted and regret everything you’ve done that brought you to this point.

Dirt || Héloïse & Polly
Polly gave a small shrug. “Well usually I try to make sure that the garden is free of any kind of weed. Especially in spring. The amount of weeds I had to pull out today. I filled almost three baskets. And I was only halfway through the gardens then.” She really did hate weeds. Pesky little things.
“And after weeding the gardens I planted a couple of rose bushes.” She smiled as she thought of the small rose bushes. “They are going to grow into beautiful things I’m telling you. And when the roses are in bloom all that hard work will be worth it.”
Héloïse wrinkled her nose. “Ew. That’s a lot of weeds.” She wasn’t much for gardening, but she understood the other girl’s frustration with the weeds. SHe hated them too; they made everything look untidy. She liked the sound of the rose bushes, though. “That sounds lovely.” She smiled. “I look forward to seeing them when they’ve grown.”
What, me? High?
phillip-emerson:
He thinks I’m high?
‘
But yeah. I am.
You’re what? Do you have any idea how bad for you that is?
"Too drunk?" Harrison let out a chuckle as he swayed a bit on the spot. "I’m in denial that such a thing even exists."
Héloïse rolled her eyes. “Believe me, it does, and you’ve reached it. Maybe you should stop?”
Dirt || Héloïse & Polly
Polly had been dozing off in her seat. She was just so tired. Gardening was no piece of cake and it sure did a number on her. Especially when she had been at it for almost two hours straight.
She jolted awake at the girl’s voice and looked around, eyes wide and frantic as she tried to make sense of where she was. Her tired brain really needed to work up. “Oh. I’m sorry. I know its the dirt and the smell but I am just so so so tired.” She gave a small guilty smile. “I was gardening and got a little carried away and before I knew it, it was two hours and I had weeded out almost half the gardens.” She shook her head, frowning when a leaf fluttered out of her hair. She picked it up twirling it in her hands. “And thats how I got this dirty.” She finished gesturing to herself, and shrugging.
Héloïse nodded. “I see.” She tried to keep her face neutral, but could not quite stop her eyes from widening when the leaf fell out of her hair. That was...lovely. Still, she should be polite. After all, at least this girl was aware of her intrusion and seemed to feel bad about it, which was more than could be said for at least half of the other students. And besides, gardening was a nice hobby, even if it wasn’t really Héloïse’s cup of tea.
“What were you gardening?” Héloïse asked, actually a little bit interested, albeit still somewhat grossed out by the girl’s dirt and stench.
Dirt || Héloïse & Polly
Polly was out of breath and covered in dirt but she was not the least bit aware of the leaves stuck in her hair or the dirt that clung to her clothes. She had been battling with weeds in the School Gardens for the last two hours with the sun beating down on her. Even though it was only March the sun was rather warm that day.
Slumping into a plastic chair, she avoided to sit on the sofas when she was this dirty, she glanced at her nails or rather under her nails, which had a fine line of earth in them, even though she had been wearing gloves. She was glad she wasn’t wearing white or any other light color that day. She didn’t think it would’ve survived especially when she had rolled down the hill after doing her job. Feeling someone’s eyes on her she looked up at the girl she hadn’t noticed sitting in the room before. She gave a small tired wave. “Hello.”
Héloïse nodded politely at the girl when she looked over. “Hello.” Wrinkling her nose again, she turned back to her computer to continue working on her essay. She typed out a few sentences before the dirt and sweat became a distraction. Huffing slightly, she took a small bottle of perfume out of her bag and sprayed it around her, hoping it would detract from the girl’s scent. It didn’t, really.
“Excuse me?” Héloïse said, turning back to the girl. “May I ask how you got so dirty?” Clearly she had been doing some sort of outdoor activity, perhaps a sport (soccer, maybe?), and while Héloïse held a small amount of respect for those involved in athletics (she could certainly never do it herself -- it wasn’t so much the exercise that bothered her, but the sweat and, even more, the reliance on a team), she still found it quite rude that the girl apparently couldn’t be bothered to shower before making herself comfortable.

Dirt || Héloïse & Polly
Héloïse settled herself on a couch in the lounge, setting her bag on the floor and her computer on her lap. Taking a small sip of her tea before placing it on the table in front of her, she opened her laptop, ready to begin her English essay. She typed out a few sentences before pausing. Something smelled...vaguely sweaty.
Héloïse wrinkled her nose, looking around the room for the source. Almost immediately her eyes landed on a girl she vaguely recognized as being a freshman. Covered in mud and leaves, she looked as if she had spent an hour rolling around outside. Idly, Héloïse wondered if she had.
Fif-Excuse me; Sixteen.
Are you sure about that?
[looks behind her] Oh. [she nods, seeing the boy behind her] Yes, they are. I like eating them a lot. Want a bite? [she offers her the plate she was eating from]
[Héloïse nods] Yes, I would love one. Thank you. [she takes a mango and takes a bite]
[He shrugs.] The library?
Well, they’re not very good. I would try a better book if I were you.
[turns around, confused] Huh—What, me? Oh no!
Yes, you, and I told you so. Why exactly are you trying to balance a basket on your head?

….I’m eating a mango…
I wasn’t talking to you, actually. I was talking to the person behind you. Mangoes are excellent.
[His head jerks up when he hears someone address him.] Yeah… I can’t get the folds even enough. And also I think I might’ve missed a step somewhere. [He frowns and rereads the instructions for folding a paper crane scribbled on a piece of paper.]
[She looks over his shoulder at the instructions] Where did you get that anyway?
