- Tony Stark is simultaneously the most ridiculous and most attentive caregiver imaginable. One second he’s calling you “tiny menace” because you stole his sunglasses, and the next he’s memorized your favorite comfort snacks, your sensory triggers, and exactly how you like your blankets arranged.
- Most sarcastic caregiver ever. Half of his affection comes wrapped in teasing.
“Are you committing crimes?”
You proudly show off the marker-covered wall.
“…I see. Modern art.”
- Tony has a catastrophic spoiling problem when it comes to you specifically. The man can and will buy out entire stores because you looked at something for slightly too long.
- He tries to pretend he’s teaching you “science" during little lab days, but realistically, it devolves into slime experiments and seeing how many colors you can make the foam explode into.
- Lab days with Tony become one of your favorite things in the world. Tony always makes you your own pair of safety goggles, even if you don’t technically need them.
- He laughs with you instead of at you, which becomes incredibly important. Tony loves joy. Loves silliness. Loves seeing you comfortable enough to be ridiculous around him.
- Tony absolutely lets you jump on the bed, but he also buys an absurd number of floor pillows for safety reasons. Pepper walks in one day to discover what looks like a tiny foam pit surrounding the bed.
- He’s surprisingly good at handling nightmares. The second he hears you crying or shuffling into his room, all the sarcasm disappears immediately.
“Hey, hey, c’mere.” And now, you’re tucked against his chest while he rubs your back, half-asleep.
- Tony sings to you when you can’t sleep. Usually old rock songs, Disney songs, or completely made-up nonsense lyrics that spiral into him laughing halfway through.
- If you’re scared after a nightmare, he lets you sleep in his bed without hesitation. Pepper has definitely caught him hanging halfway off the mattress because he refused to move you once you got comfortable.
- Rainy days with Tony are dangerous because he fully encourages chaos. Mud pies, puddle stomping, running around barefoot in the grass; he’s playing just as much as you are.
- Bath time becomes an entire show with him. Foam mohawks. Bubble beards. Fake villain monologues.
“Behold! The fearsome Captain Bubbles!”
- Tony absolutely utilizes technology for caregiving. Custom nightlights, heated blankets programmed to your preferred temperature, little reminders FRIDAY gives you to drink water, sensory-friendly headphones he modified himself, etc.
- Disney trips with Tony are insane. VIP tours, oversized plushies, Tony trying to bribe cast members for extra churros, the whole thing.
- He always lets you win at hide-and-seek even when your feet are visibly sticking out from behind the curtain.
“Hm. Strange. No tiny person here. Definitely not hearing giggling either.”
- Forehead kisses are basically automatic for him at this point. Passing by you in the kitchen? Kiss. Tucking you into bed? Kiss. Proud of you? Double kiss.
- Tony gives incredible hugs when he slows down enough to actually hold still. Tight, warm, grounding hugs where he squeezes you like he’s reassuring himself you’re okay, too.
- He gets extremely protective of you, especially after bad days or panic episodes. Tony’s the type to casually crack jokes while silently moving himself between you and whatever upset you.
- Tony is actually very good at noticing overstimulation before you do.
“Okay, your smile just got fake, and you’re picking at your sleeves. We’re leaving.”
- He acts dramatically every single time you steal his hoodies. Meanwhile, he absolutely bought softer hoodies on purpose because he likes seeing you wear them.
“I’d like the record to show I am being robbed in my own home.”
- Tony has a terrible habit of absentmindedly kissing the top of your head while he’s working. You’ll be sitting in his lap during lab work, and suddenly he'll kiss the top of your head with no explanation. He just keeps soldering something afterward, like nothing happened.
- He pretends he’s teaching you important engineering skills, but honestly? Half the time, he just likes having you nearby while he works.
“You handed me the wrench; you are basically an Avenger now.”
