Clip, clang, shhwiick.
The sound of her key repeatedly failing to open her door struck every single one of Daisyâs nerves like a guitar string. She could feel her anger building up inside, making her limbs twitch. With each movement, the key somehow always jammed the lock and she was about ready to throw in the towel. Breathing deeply through her nose, she paused for a moment, closing her eyes for half a minute. Opening them again, she tried once more. The key turned about half way and got stuck.Â
âFuck off!â Daisy cried out, backing up and kicking her door hard with the bottom of her foot. âStupid fucking ass-- shit fuck.â Her hands wrapped around the doorknob and she wiggled and wretched at the piece of metal. Defeated, Daisy turned and leaned against her door, slowly slouching into a sitting fetal position.Â
Sighing heavily, she straightened herself up and sucked in a deep breath. This would not be the downfall of her day, Daisy would not let this get to her. She stood up and immediately left the building, looking down either side of the street. Seeing somebody walking away, Daisy tapped them on the shoulder.
âUm, excuse me? Iâm sorry to bother you, but I need a hand. I lost my wallet on the bus, my phone died so I canât reach my landlord and I just got my key stuck in my lock. Would you be able to help?â She smiled, her hands clasped together in front of her by her chest.
