Good enough

“Don’t flatter yourself.” Coraline remarked with a chuckle, pulling her long, raven tresses into a tight ponytail. She had come to the gym to work off some steam, that and to prevent herself from remaining stagnant. As an author, she found herself being able to sit still and write for hours, which was horrible for someone as young as her. And now, she had to deal with some jerk who thinks he’s Adonis reincarnated, just great. “I’m clever enough to find something to do, don’t worry and focus on you.”

“Aren’t you a feisty one.” Flirting was a second nature to Colt Alexander, and it wasn’t always at his own will. Colt used his charm to impress people and find workarounds to otherwise inconvenient situations, like gaining their trust and taking advantage of they had to offer. In reality he kept things locked in his closet, his attraction toward the tall, dark, and handsomes for instance. He knew some found it annoying but he had to keep up with the facade so they would not  find out about the other thing. The player of the team is a fucking homo isn’t a great rep for his band of brutes. “You and I both. But why not enjoy each other’s company while we were at it? You seem stressed.” 

My old ass folks. Can still remember their torn up bodies on the stretchers like it was yesterday. Pretty fucked, huh?

After landing his eightieth punch to the sandbag, Colt decided it was time for a breather and stopped, grabbing the towel he had next to him as the sounds of the gym filled his hearing. The place had not been affected much by the disaster in which he was happy about, he wouldn’t have known where else to fill up his daily exercise quota. The inn? Out of the question, they hated him and his general noisiness there. He started wiping his sweat with the towel but from the reflection of a nearby mirror he could tell someone had been watching him. Colt chuckled, turning to see what they wanted. “Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” Colt uttered with a smirk. “Can I help ya or are you just in for the gunshow? Class won’t start until ten so you’re wastin’ your time here.”
