To say Kassie was nervous would be an understatement. A freshman being tagged by their mentor to accompany her for early field study (which should give her advantage for future projects) for a month was already a huge thing but to check and speak with one of the patients that was in solitary confinement was another story. Kassie was anxious out of their mind though they knew their mentor wanted the best for them by giving them field assignments and were aware that they would be protected. Still. Glendale was a leery thing with blood and dirt splatters and there were turns that made them want to throw up. As an overachiever though Kassie wanted to impress her and so they said yes. They weren’t about to lie though more dread began to swarm them as they walked closer to their first patient. They had already seen her file but still looked around asking for reassurance especially after peering through the oneway glass. “Um..... Okay. So why is she cuffed?” They asked as they looked to one of the guards who shrugged at them and said. “Extra precaution. You’ll be safe.” That didn’t help at all but it was too late to turn back around. With a deep breath they finally entered the room. Seeing the rumple of dark hair and the patient’s back facing her Kassie gulped deeply. “H-Hi...” They said putting their files down and wanting to appear friendly despite their nerves. “Heather?” They tried out. “I’m Kassandra... I’m here to see how you’re doing. If that’s alright.” Dear god why was she cuffed and bruised? @hcathers
