WHEN THAT TIME COMES;

being married to an elf would suck bc they’d just be like “i wrote a short ballad on the subject of our love. would you like to hear it?” *proceeds to sing for the next 12 hours without pause because that’s what’s considered brief by elf standards* and being married to a dwarf would suck bc they’d be like *spends 36 hours carving a pattern into a single face of a hammer they’re working on because you “can’t rush art” and forgets that you even exist until you’re forced to come down and persuade them to return to the surface to take a nap before they collapse of exhaustion* so you really can’t win

Communication goes a long way. If you’re busy, say it. If you’re upset, express it. If you’re late, let people know. If you’re unsure, ask. It’s so simple but so important.

sometimes u just gotta say “okey dokey” and just like.. rely on urself.. take things as impersonally as u can.. love and let go.. move on.. try and find all the good things, soak those in. and that’s all u can do! and sometimes, that’s enough

it’s so hard for cis people to grasp the concept that… trans people aren’t looking for your approval. like we literally don’t need you to accept us. it’s not about you. we don’t need cis people to validate us or believe us or feel for us. our world doesn’t revolve around cis people, as hard as that may be for cis people to understand. we’re not political statements or an opinion to have or points to be made. like your opinion about my identity, your understanding or lack thereof is not my problem. cishet people have this jarring tendency to make the lives of lgbt people ABOUT them. but it’s really, really not. we want to be left alone to lead our normal lives, free of people treating us like commodities or Q&As or things to hate or admire.

“What if you replaced [cis, straight, white, etc.] with [trans, gay, black, etc.]??? It’s the same thing!” is code for “I know nothing about power dynamics and I wish to make everything about me”.

seriously though bisexuality being defined as attraction to men and women is a heterosexual’s definition of bisexuality actual bisexual groups and organizations have been defining it as attraction to two or more genders or same and other genders since the nineties and plenty of nb people actually id as bi and refusing to accept how we define ourselves is so absurdly biphobic and heterosexist and jfc it’s 2014 can other queer people fucking realize and acknowledge this

The purple stripe on the bi flag is meant to represent attraction to nb genders and the bisexual manifesto published in Anything That Moves includes the lines “Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or duogamous in nature … In fact, don’t assume that there are only two genders.” That was published in 1990. It’s older than a lot of people here, including me, and older than terms like “pansexual” and “polysexual” by at least a decade. Bi history is important.

It is so cruel that we think we’re wasting time when we’re doing something that we love and that does not have any materialistic returns

stores arent legally allowed to fire employees because customers shoplift. obviously you shouldnt steal from small/local businesses but if it’s a large corporation then who cares. people need food and other essentials (not that i care whether someone steals nonessentials) such as sanitary products, first aid supplies, clothes, etc all the time and if a business blames an employee for that theft, that’s against the law and the fault of the business
