#Vinyl_HG is back! Where you been? Vacation. Ok, cool! #VinylWednesday is here and today we look at the amazing album "Side Pony" released by Lake Street Dive in 2016 on #NonesuchRecords. #SidePony is the fifth studio album by the group and it received great reviews and went #1 on 3 Billboard charts; US Top Alternative Albums, US Folk Albums and US Top Rock Albums. It also hit #29 on #Billboard200. The multi-genre band was founded in 2004 in Boston where all four members ( Rachel Price, Mike Olson, Bridget Kearny & Mike Calabrese ) attended the #NewEnglandConservatoryOfMusic. The name Lake Street Dive comes from Lake Street in #Minneapolis, #Minnesota ( Olson's hometown ) where there was a bunch of dive bars. Classic Scandinavians! #LakeStreetDive is a good mix of #Jazz, #Soul and 60's #Rock ( They all love the #Beatles ) and they are lead by #RachelPrice with her amazing jazz #vocal. My favorite songs on the album is all the songs she sings on, which is all - but if I have to pick one its going to be; "How Good It Feels". They also have great stuff on #YouTube incl. their version of #JacksonFive 's "I Want You Back" recorded live on the streets of #Boston and a bunch of humorous Halloween music videos ( look them up ) #Vinyl #Music #Records
