We are pleased to note that he has not managed to get his hands on the Worldās Glitteriest Glitterāyetāand we urge purchasers not to share the product with Kapoor or his associates.

Basically this guy, Anish Kapoor, had made a deal with NanoSystem, the people producing Vantablack, or the blackest black paint pigment in the world, so that he would have exclusive rights to use it for art purposes.
This naturally upset a great number of people in the art world, to say the least, as many other people were excited to experiment with using the Vantablack pigment in their art. Therefore, as an act of retaliation, artist Stuart Semple released PINK, the worldās pink pigment under the stipulation that anyone in the world could buy it, except for Anish Kapoor. At the time of purchase, the purchaser has to agree to a legal statement saying that they are not Anish Kapoor and will not willing or knowingly give the pigment to Anish Kapoor.Ā
By this image, it indicates that someone violated that agreement and provided the pigment to Kapoor. Thus why Semple is pursing legal action. I hope this helps clear some things up.

I would like to point out that Vantablack cannot be grown (itās not actually paint so yes it is GROWN) without heating it and the surface it is being applied to to at least 430Ā°C, and I have heard no news about that heat requirement changing. So if Semple did indeed get his fingers coated in Vantablack, it probably hurt a whole fucking lot XD
At first I was really fucking amused but then I did something stupid and read some of the replies/reblogs on this thing and the number of people who donāt know anything about Vantablack other thanĀ āit is the blackest blackā is actually kind of frustrating and annoying. If nothing else, I would have hoped most people would know that itās not a pigment and that it requires extreme heat to create.
ngl if Nanosystems hadnāt given the exclusive rights to Kapoor to use it artistically, they probably would have given them to someone else. Or maybe they wouldnāt have let anyone use it artistically.Ā Nanosystems is extremely careful about who they sell this shit to, due in part to the export regulations the UK has imposed on it. Itās all in Nanosystemsā Vantablack FAQ page, but Iām just going to break right here down why Vantablack is not going to be available for widespread private artistic use any time soon (hint: it has nothing to do with Anish Kapoor obtaining the rights to it).

It is not a dye.
You cannot dip a paint brush in it an smear it onto a substrate.
Itās basically a field of microscopic tubes that go flat if you touch them.
The Original Vantablack must be applied at Nanosystemsā facility.
It takes like 2 fucking days to do.
Also the nanotubes require at least 430Ā°C to grow.
Thatās more than 800Ā°F
The spray version also requires professional application and post processing to do itās thing.
Also it is ounce for ounce more expensive than diamonds and gold.
You canāt afford it.
Also the UK govt is regulating itās export.

In the USA, itās 100x cheaper to take an Uber to the hospital instead of an ambulance.
I donāt know if this is true or.. Like, having to pay for an ambulance that is taking you to the hospital? That doesnāt make any sense. What kind of distopian world is that?

In America some people with chronic health conditions like epilepsy literally have to wear medical IDs that say ādonāt call an ambulance/911ā. Some well-meaning person calling an ambulance for you will turn into a thousand (or couple thousand) dollars that YOU are on the hook for, even though you didnāt make the call. So, PSA: if you see someone having a seizure, look for a medical ID! You should only call an ambulance if: the person is elderly, pregnant, or the seizure lasts more than 4 minutes. Otherwise, wait for the seizure to pass, then ask the person if they want an ambulance when they regain consciousness.
Oh my god what. Here in Quebec, if you call an ambulance for something they deem non-emergency, you get a bill later for like $180. But if itās anything like a loss of consciousness, chest pains, labour, whatever, or if youāre in a public place and a a well-meaning samaritan calls 911, itās paid for by the government. Seriously, everything about healthcare in the US makes me want to cry.
Imagine a world where you have to wear tags to tell people trying to help you that āItās ok, donāt try to help, I canāt afford to pay if someone tries to save my life. Iāll just take my chances and hope itās not life-threatening.ā
I never understood this shit. You donāt ask for an ambulance ride, but theyāll give you one anyway an demand you pay for it like what if someone washed all your windows in the middle of the night without asking you if you wanted their services and then demanded you pay them for it the next day?
Many people here in the US wantĀ āfree/affordable healthcareā but have no desire to push for it nor do they want to pay extra taxes to do so because their mentality is: āWhy should I have pay for some one elseās health insurance. Especially if they are an awful human beingā
