reminder that being suicidal is a SERIOUS problem. i know this website has normalized the idea that having suicidal thoughts isn’t something that requires medical attention, but i promise it is and if you’re frequently having suicidal thoughts then it’s crucial for you to seek help.

reminder that suicidal ideation often doesn’t mean actively wanting to/planning to kill yourself but looks like constant low-level wishing that you didn’t exist or that you could just be hit by a bus so you could stop being alive, and that if you’re having those thoughts fifty times a day you deserve help too

you have this idea in your head that the only time you’re worthy of being loved is when you’re at your best. you’re still worthy of being loved when you’re at your lowest. you’re still worthy of being loved when you don’t want to go on anymore. you are still worthy of being loved even when you don’t love yourself. you are a human and therefore always worthy of being loved and don’t you fool yourself into thinking otherwise. 

Keep going because you will recover. Eventually the world won’t seem so horrible, you’ll enjoy things like you used to and have actual hobbies, and you’ll feel excited for your future. You deserve to be here to see it happen.

dating someone who understands your mental health is so important, because there’s humans who will make you feel terrible for things you can’t or don’t know how to control yet.
