âthen watch where youâre fucking going, man,â michael replied when the other said he didnât want a problem. he bent down to pick up his folders and papers in one swift move, not wanting to have to get on the floor while the other guy stood there and watched him. âoh no, not mess with you,â he said, putting his hand to his chest as if he were appalled by the accusation. âitâs funny, because that almost sounds like a threat, which is just hilarious coming from someone looking like you. your manicure would chip if you even tried to take a swing at me, princess.â he looked him up and down and smirk, very certain he could easily take him in a fight, but he wasnât dumb enough to do that on his first day of class, right in the middle of a hallway with a bunch of witnesses. âget out of my way, sausage lips, i have somewhere to be.â he walked away, bumping hard into davidâs shoulders as he walked past him.
âOh weâre using curse words. How classy. Who are your parents?â David was secretly hoping to get the other riled up now. Sure, maybe the other was right and he could watch where he was going, but this seemed like a lot of fun. Usually an apology wouldâve been made on Davidâs behalf already, so this was kind of out of his normal realm. With a smirk and a light narrow of his eyes, the man found himself ready for anything that came his way. âCareful there, man. You shouldnât judge a book by its cover. Just cause I care what I look like doesnât mean I canât fight. For all you know I could be a rich jerk who takes boxing classes.â Which was kind of true, but David knew fighting would only put him in trouble with his dad. No fighting, the man had to remind himself as he took a deep breath. It was only when the other bumped into him, that he followed close to the other, even attempting to get in this guyâs ear and mumble viscously, âNow you watch where youâre going. You got a problem now.â David could feel anger pulsating through him and without thinking of anything next, the man attempted to start pushing the other.
itâs michaelâs first day at usc and honestly, being there feels like a miracle for a number of reasons. even though he worked hard, his life had never been the easiest, heâd always been in disadvantage compared to his peers, and this place was no exception. he knew heâd have classmates whoâd only gotten into school because their parents donated entire buildings, while he was only able to attend on a scholarship, but he was grateful, nontheless. grateful, but nervous.
he was making his way from his dorm to his first class, carrying a folder with some documents on one hand, and a coffee on the other. as he walked down the hallway, he bumped straight into someone, sending his papers flying everywhere and spilling his drink. âhey! watch where youâre going jackass!â he spat. as the saying goes, you can take the kid out of the fightâbut you canât take the fight out of the kid, and michael zane had a very short fuse. add a bit of stress and nerves to the situation, and the man was a powder keg ready to explode. âthe fuck are you staring at me for? you want a fuckinâ problem?â
@hefaltersâ
USC had been the school David had dreamed of attending ever since he knew his father went there when he was going to school. The air was clean and beautiful, kind of like how he knew the day would be going. Sure, when oneâs parents pay for everything and not a care in the world is given, it might help to ease stress, but really, to David, life was one big party after studies.Â
Not noticing other students, the man was in his own little world, which ended up getting him into trouble next. It was at this moment that he bumped into someone of a different background because David would never use such language around his friends. âOh me? I hadnât realized the underachievers went to class this early, or at all really.â Now, if it were any other morning, David would be apologizing and offering to get this guy more coffee, but if it was an argument that was falling into his lap today, then so be it. With narrowed eyes, a cold look overtook his facial features and his hands formed into fists. âIâm not the one who wants a problem, but you might just get your problem if you want to mess with me.â

Oh you joined tumblr in 2021?
hckinmuses¡:
he followed the doctor and the nurse, feeling somewhat relieved that at least emmett was finally getting looked at. âdr. carey, this is emmett. heâs just turned three.â the doctor seemed calm enough, and it was easing michaelâs mind if only a little. âyes, he hit the edge of the bathtub on his way down. there wasnât much blood, it was a tiny scratch, but he started with nausea a bit later,â he explained. âhis head hurts, but iâm not sure if itâs a headache or just from the fall still.â that was the thing with children, they couldnât exactly explain what they were feeling, or their symptoms or anything, and michael was freaked out.Â
dr. carey handed him a gown, and he helped change emmett into it. he tried instructing him not to move, comfort him telling him that it would all be okay but the doctor needed to take a look at him first. then, he went into the next room with dr. carey, nervously biting his fingernails as the man worked the mri machine. âdoctors always say not to google symptoms. guess thatâs for a reason, huh? now i know it can be bad bad. god, heâs just a baby. i only turned away for half a second.â
âNice to meet you, Emmett. Weâre gonna get you feeling better again. Itâs what weâre here for.â Though he was calm and friendly, the man couldnât help but think this manâs son is dealing with a concussion. It only further confirmed his suspicions that a concussion was the diagnosis when hearing of vomiting after the fall, but also this headache. Going to face the father, Jax nodded his head and added, âWe can give him something for the headache. But since you told me about the vomiting, I can almost confirm itâs a concussion. I just need to get these scans in first to be sure.âÂ
As Jax nodded his head, he let out a soft chuckle, âYeah, sometimes those google searches just scare ya. I think youâre doing a great job handling all of this.â He told the man, giving him a smile. After everything was set up, the man then had the nurses try to tend to Emmett, so that they could get this MRI scan. âDonât beat yourself up. Weâre here to make sure Emmett gets better.â He then went to start the scan and see what all was going on.
michael thought he was a pretty chill dad, and just a chill guy in general. but clearly, that did not apply when it concerned his young son emmett. his anxiety was peaking as he drove to the hospital after a bad fall em had taken, and now he was freaking out in the emergency room. kids fall all the time, they trip over nothing, itâs easy for them to lose their balance, but it had been a bit over an hour since the incident, and emmett was still crying and throwing up. never a good sign. âfucks sake, itâs a hospital, how hard is it to find a doctor to see my son?â he was usually polite, patient, but as a parent, he was too worried and was freaking out. a doctor walked by, and michael walked over to him and tapped his arm. âhey, iâve been waiting a long time, my son needs help. he fell near the bathtub, he hit his head. will you please take a look?â
As usual, Jax was pretty busy in the ER. Seeing patients, treating them, and also making sure they were going to be okay was no easy task. However, this doctor was passing by whenever he was stopped in his tracks. A dark haired man seemed to need help and it boggled Jaxâs mind how acrying child who was also vomiting had not been seen yet. âMy apologies. I donât know how youâre still waiting.â He then tracked down a nurse and told them to get a room ready. âCome with us. Iâm Doctor Carey.â Jax then paused. âSo you said your child fell near the bathtub? I am going to order an MRI scan and we can go from there.â Jax then held open the curtain where the hospital bed was. Soon the nurse was working swiftly, attempting to finish up getting machines ready and soon handing a hospital gown to the father.Â

- I just need to know the truth .- Canât you just thank me and get over it? -Thank you.Â
Itâs not like love at first sight, really. Itâs more like⌠gravity moves. Suddenly. Itâs not the earth holding you here anymore, she does. You become whatever she needs you to be; whether thatâs a protector, or a lover, or a friend.â

âââso, i was thinking iâd maybe just sit this one out.â mike newton, though exhausting, made a great LIFE RAFT to cling to when the waters that were lauren and forksâ version of the mean girl clique proved to be too TREACHEROUS to confront, and with him down for the count, she had no intention of braving the storm alone.  beau wasnât going to abandon her, she knew that, logically she did, but that did little to curb her growing anxiety.  // ( @hefalters. )
Beau could see the way Bella tried to find somebody to be with her so that way she wouldnât have to be alone. With everything going on in his life lately, it was nice to know that he could feel a little relief by being away from the others with Bella. â Yeah. Iâll just...stay with Bella.â Since Mike let her down he sure wasnât going to. Turning his head from the others, Beau let his gaze fall on the girl. âIs that fine?â
set this ablaze. drown it whole. bury the body and spit on the grave. this is the pain of growing. this is the sound of survival. â m.k.

â i mean that. â  soft words. soft, dangerous words.  sheâs filled with many words of that kind, and sometimes only words like that. she doesnât mind, really - sometimes she hates it, but mostly she doesnât mind â really. she watches him as it SINKS in, the possibility of failure, as his confidence wavers just slightly. she shouldnât have said anything, not a damn thing, but sheâs tired of sitting at the kidsâ table, tired of not being in the room where it happens, tired of liking that room when she grew up there and in her growing up grew to want to leave it behind entirely.  â it helps if you go over it a few times      not so many that you sound REHEARSED, but just enough to work out the details. sometimes we lose things ⌠bits & pieces fragments ⌠of information in the heat of the moment. â she doesnât want to say it - that sometimes they forget which STORY to tell, that the TRUTH is often more dangerous than the lies, but she thinks it, and thatâs enough.     â would you like to start from the beginning? â
Taking his blue orbs to the floor, he shook his head slightly. The possibility of losing this case has suddenly become real to Scottie. This awareness would only grow worse as time went on. Scottie was sure of that. âI know.â His voice barely audible in the room. Then his head shot up and he leaned back. âIâll be prepared. Laurel, just...donât worry about me. Iâll get it together.â If anything he just wanted her more focused on the case and less about Scottie being prepared right now or whatnot. But then again he knew how his words might come across and that might not be good. With a deep breath, he nodded his head and stared at the girl.Â
âConstantly being blackmailed by a man who had made threats not only to me but to my whole family over years is exhausting. On the night of the murder, he had asked me to meet him by the gas station on third. I agreed without a second thought. When I got there, he was acting off and I confronted him about his behavior. He got angry and so did I. Thatâs when the argument heated up. It was about something stupid and I then offered to get him some beer from the gas station to which he agrees and iâm soon right back out where he is. I gave it to him with enough pills to overdose.â

â right. â  the response is neither challenging nor dismissive; the blood on her hands was hardly a product of ( SNAPPING ) the way his actions suggested his was, but she didnât have the audacity to cast any judgments.  sheâs seen what happens during these trials,  seen the truth twisted INSIDE OUT just for the sake of crafting a STORY their audience could understand. ( sheâs good at it, seeing who they manage to sway. pays attention. is better in action than she is here where she canât be sure that what she can EMPATHIZE with is what others will deem FORGIVABLE. ) laurel castillo is quick to adapt, quicker than most, & if sheâs learned anything, itâs that in his house, theyâre only as unforgivable as they were once forgivable, and thatâs both a blessing and a curse. outside of it, however, no one was safe from the wolves. not even with annalise, their steadfast guardian who vowed to protect them. ( itâs with a surprising bitterness that she finds herself thinking that mr. wilderâs damning evidence might not be near as damning as the woman they depended on for salvation ! ) when she speaks again, she thinks it generous.    âannalise wants you to sound  SYMPATHETIC  to the jury. that means anything is fair game.     sheâll t e a r everything  DOWN  if gives her a chance of maybe winning them all over.      you should prepare yourself, mr. wilder.  â
Scottie felt his grin slowly fade as the girl answered him. The man was pretty sure heâd be fine with Annalise on his side. Now all Scottie has to figure out is how she would help him win this case. Though he had no doubt over the Keating crew, the blonde man did feel that tiny part of a percentage in him that feared losing this case. To be in prison would be frightening. It only made the crime he âcommittedâ seem questionable. It was as if now he asked himself if it was really worth it, but each time he asked all he could come back to was that the man he killed was a nightmare for not only him, but his family members. All of those times he had to hold himself back from killing that guy flooded into his mind. Every single fit of rage that consumed this blonde man wasn't enough in his mind. Having murdered this man seemed logical to Scottie though. Death to this man was the only way out of this hell. There was nothing in the world that could change his mind about him doing the right thing despite what others thought. Right now, all Scottie could do is feel thankful for Annalise and Laurel. Theyâd get him off clean in no time. After living in his thoughts for a moment, a smile stretched on Scottieâs face while nodding his head to show he understood her.Â
âAnything? You mean that? Alright. Alright. Iâll make sure iâm prepared...â
