((Something I don’t always think about with my muses are the dynamics between Shinju and Tamara, and Luka and Feng. From what I understand, Tamara’s very much like the big sister Shinju never had. The two get along well because they have pretty similar dispositions, styles, likes, and views on things. I actually remember that Tamara’s career (besides her magic) was that she was a plus-size model; and then Shinju became a supermodel once she was able to do so, and went between China and Japan (where she was stationed mostly) during that time. Much like with everyone else, Shinju doesn’t externally show how close she really is, but it’s there. Both Tamara and Shinju may seem callous, but they both just know it’s how they are.))
((Then, there’s the dynamic between Luka and Feng. It’s actually quite wholesome! Feng never needed to be overprotective of Shinju unless he sensed an actual threat, and Luka wasn’t a threat. Shinju could literally suplex him even when they were teenagers. But something that keeps playing in my head lately, and I’m kicking myself for not posting it on Father’s Day— A heart-to-heart moment when the two realized how much alike they truly are.))
((Both men ran away from their families in their youth; under drastically different circumstances, but both knew it was hard to make that choice to risk it all by going out on their own. Not only that, but with Feng’s ancient knowledge, he got to pass on a lot of his practical skills to Luka, and kept supporting him in his endeavors to keep honing his skills in blacksmithing, and other metal and leather crafts. Even before Luka and Shinju got married, Feng had accepted Luka calling him dad (well, “Bàba”).))
