Anger etched into his face like it had been permanently sewn on, that was the expression he often wore. “I could elaborate about my many frustrations with people such as yourself, but that’d take too much time, I’m afraid, and quite frankly, a waste of my energy. So I shall keep it brief for your pitiful sake.”

There was a brief period of silence as he gathered himself as to not lose his composure. “I won’t mince words, father,” The word was spoken with disgrace as his lips curled into a sneer. “Your little denomination is a laughing matter and I would be laughing too if it wasn’t so shameful.”

There are times where he questions his siblings’ morals. Times where he questions humanity’s morals also. The watchman sees all, whether he’s up in the Silver City, or residing upon Earth and unfortunate for Akrasiel, there isn’t anything that he misses. That also means that sneaking up on the Archangel is an incredible feat to achieve.

He was stood with his Rosary in hand, pearl beads threading between his fingers as he stood in a moment of meditation when he picked up on them coming towards the church. His jaw clenched as a result but, the watchmen kept himself calm ( he was, perhaps, the calmer of his siblings ) and with a breath, lifted his chin, allowing his attention to draw towards the door. “ I’d rather you came inside, rather than linger at the door with your hand hovering over the handle as you debate on if to come in and speak with me, or not… ”

Churches weren’t a place where he was typically found. They were after all places of worship for Yahweh, someone he hadn’t been on good terms with for centuries.

He let out a soft but dry laugh at Akrasiel’s words. “You think I’m avoiding you?” Other angels were also deities he did not typically interact with, not since his fall. They usually went about their duties, but sometimes they crossed with paths, and well, that often got ugly. “I don’t suppose you came down here to have a conversation with me, did you?” Luci pushed his shades up. “I can’t recall the last time we met.”

My problem is I love the concept of Lucifer Morningstar so much that I wanna rp like a million different versions of him.

Morally good Lucifer?? yes

Kinda evil and dangerous Luci? yes

Morally gray and rough around the edges and deeply complex Luci? Yes, yes.

He tried to hide his grimace but it came through. “They never really healed.” His fall had left quite the mark on him, literally and figuratively speaking. Mental and physical wounds that never seemed to heal, the physical being even more of a painful reminder of what took place. “It’s not magic, more like a divine affliction.” Now there was an oxymoron.

A long sigh left her lungs at the confirmation. These wounds, painful and ghastly in appearance, were the same ones inflicted so very long ago by the False God. “He really is quite spiteful, isn’t he,” she remarked with a shake of her head. “You’d think he’d eventually lift it, but he really is the worst. Alright then. What can I do to help? Even if it doesn’t fully heal, surely there must be something I can do.”

A bitter laugh escaped him. “You don’t even know the half of it, Zelda.” Spiteful was putting it lightly in his books.

Her efforts to heal him were commendable, noble even, but he wasn’t certain if anything could be done. He had exhausted plenty of other options so his expectations were low. “I am not certain, I have tried many methods but nothing has seemed to work. Unfortunately, they are permanent.” He didn’t want her to exert herself, especially for something that seemed to be unfixable. “But your kindness is much appreciated.”

He might as well come clean even if he wasn’t about to share all the details. “You’re more familiar with the story than you might think.” A bent wing that was a reminder of what happened.

Zelda’s eyes found his face once more as she gave it some thought. Surely he wasn’t referring to his fall, was he, she wondered. But the wounds on display looked as if they had been slashed open recently. “This doesn’t have the appearance of an old injury. Unless you mean to tell me there is some sort of hex attached to it…” Now that was an interesting thought.

He supposed that was no use in arguing and Zelda was as stubborn as him. A gentle but bashful smile spread over his lips as he pushed up his shades. “I suppose not, my apologies for causing you so much trouble.” Being seen like this, it was like being naked. Granted, he’d heal in due time but he wasn’t exactly fond of being fussed over, however, Zelda had him beaten, no pun intended, into submission. Defeated, to his own chagrin.

“I won’t count it as trouble unless you decide to fight me further,” Zelda replied with a pointed look before approaching him, looking over his wounds with the utmost concentration and concern. “What sort of creature or being did this to you? This doesn’t look like anything a mortal or witch could accomplish on their own. Unless of course it was a large and organized group.”
