Sure is. Weâve gotâwell, Iâll say a complete top line. Black and OâHara tearing it up as usual, but weâll be missing sorely someone whoâll be across the ice this time, eh?
I wish that when I said your name you would appear

The Rangers were already in the playoffs, clinched and waiting to see who theyâd face-off against first. It had always made Sirius a little antsy but also a little pleased when they played a team that was already in position. They would be hard to predict. While the Lions fought for their spotâwin this game, and theyâd be headed towards what would hopefully be another short summerâthe Rangers would either be taking it easy, hoping not to have any injuries, or theyâd be so high on the thrill that theyâd come out harder than ever. Sirius didnât understand why people bet on hockey. It was a hard game to predict. So much of its balance and beauty sourced straight from the players themselves, energy flowed through from one man to the next. Sirius knew well what sort of toll a break in that system could take.

"Sure, we can snuggle if it will make you feel better."
Characters belong to @lumosinlove
Kasey didnât like to lose. Especially not in overtime.
Out of all the fucking teams they could have lost to, it had to be the Snakes. And fucking Snape scored the game-winning goal. He got into a kneeling position, leaning all of his weight on one leg, obnoxious goal horn blaring in his ears and the sea of green loudly cheered. He couldnât even bother looking up at Snapeâs stupid celly as the whole team skated over to him.
As he skated back to the tunnel, a few of the guys gave him light taps on the pads with their sticks and Leo patted him on the back comfortingly.
Kasey was silent in the locker room, keeping his head down as he took off his gear. Maybe heâd have a cold shower, and wallow around in his depressing thoughts for a bit until he couldnât take it.
âBliz, you alright?â
Pascal was stripped down to his under armor, a worried look on his face.
âIâm fine Dumo, donât worry about it.â
Pascal didnât seem to believe him, but he just nodded.
As soon as Kasey got in his car, he checked his phone. He scoffed at the obnoxious Snakes fans mentioning him in their gloating about the win.
Alex <3
Hey, I was watching the game. That was an insane shot, sorry you guys lost. Fuck the Snakes
Kasey typed out a message in response, finger lingering over the blue arrow for a second. He mentally said âfuck it,â then sent the text.
Fuck the snakes indeed, he added.
Alex <3 loved your message.
Kasey began the drive home, feeling a bit lighter now that he spoke to Alex.
As he swung open the door, he heard the tv. Odd, must have forgotten to turn it off.
One Alex Oâhara was lounging on the couch, feet dangling over the edge as Bojack Horseman played faintly on the tv. His phone was lazily laying on his lap and⌠what the fuck was that one of Kaseyâs sweatshirts?
âAlex, what are you doing here?â
Alex had faintly turned his head at the door opening, a tiny smile on his face. âWaiting for you.â
Kasey kicked his shoes off, throwing his keys in the bowl by the door. He walked over, and flopped down on top of Alex, making the man grunt a bit but place his hands on Kaseyâs lower stomach.
âSorry about that game. We can cuddle if it makes you feel better.â
Kasey nodded, burying his face in the crook of Alexâs neck. One of Alexâs hands came to gently play with the hair at the nape of his neck, the other gently rubbing patterns along his back.
Kasey lightly kissed his neck, feeling Alex rumble with a laugh. Yeah, he was feeling better already.

Just saw this cute idea while scrolling where you get yourself and your lover the same love poetry book and underline any line or phrase that describes how you feel about the other person then swap books for a wordless love confessionâŚ
Hello my darling Eve! An image popped into my head the other day of coops like practicing for their first dance at their wedding, could you write a fix about this if you are interested đĽ°đĽ°
This is in the top ten fluffiest prompts I've ever received and I love you for it. God bless. Coops credit goes to @lumosinlove!
âIf I go lay in the driveway, will you run me over?â
âNo.â
âWhy?â
âBecause.â
Remus pulled a face, half-hidden by the refrigerator door. âThatâs rude.â
âIt would be more rude to run my fiancĂŠ over with a car less than three months before our wedding,â Sirius noted as he wound his arms around Remusâ waist, leaving a kiss on his shoulder. His hair was still damp and curling at the nape of his neck, caramel turned mousy brown from the shower. âWeâve already sent out the invitations. It would be a lot of work to cancel it all this late in the game.â
âI wouldnât call off the engagement if you ran me over.â
âWell, youâd be dead, so I think itâs implied.â
Remus snorted, but went willingly when Sirius guided him back to rest against his chest. Sirius gently took the carton of heavy cream from him and set it on the counter; he smiled when Remusâ fingers laced with his own and gave a squeeze. âYou are so cozy.â
âSore?â
âMhmm.â
Sirius kissed the freckle at the peak of Remusâ ear. âWant me to rub your back?â
More weight rested on his aching muscles when Remus leaned his head back, but Sirius couldnât bring himself to mind. The soft light of the kitchen shadowed his hooded eyes and dimmed the bright amber to true goldâit took his breath away, sometimes. Remus was just too handsome for his own good. âI need to finish dinner.â
âHow much time do you have?â
âFive-ish minutes.â
Sirius cuddled him closer. His phone kept up a steady stream of music on the countertop, but the only rhythm he cared about was Remusâ steady pulse beneath his hand as they swayed in place, hardly moving more than an inch in their comfort. It was all too easy to rest his cheek in sandy curls and imagine a not-too-distant future where they would dance in a different context, one far more public than their kitchen. A future with their friends and family surrounding them and the weight of matching rings on their fingers, still cool from the newnessâŚ
âPenny for your thoughts?â
Sirius smiled to himself. âI want to dance with you like this at our wedding.â
âJust like this?â There was a smile in Remusâ voice as well, sweet like honey.
âOuais. Iâll hold you like this, and then spin you like thisâŚâ Sirius guided him around until they were face to face, chest to chest, with Remus standing on his tiptoes. âAnd then Iâll kiss you just like this.â
The kiss was soft and chasteâbutterflies tumbled through his abdomen and he cupped the side of Remusâ face in one hand, his fingertips sliding over his the short-cropped sides of his hair. âSounds pretty good to me,â Remus murmured into his mouth. âWhat if I hold your hand like this, and put my arm around your waist like that?â
Sirius laughed as Remus slid his hand down from the small of his back to give one side of his rear a firm squeeze, smacking him lightly on the shoulder. âYouâd do that in front of Celeste?â
âSheâs seen worse.â
âYouâd do that in front of Jules?â
Remus hesitated, then sighed. âBuzzkill. Donât think I wonât cop a feel at the first opportunity, though.â
âTechnically, your arm belongs over my shoulder,â Sirius pointed out. âSo there wouldnât be anything to feel.â
âBiceps, back muscles, pretty hairâŚâ Remus kissed him once again around his playful smile. âI can be creative. And why canât I put my arm around you?â
âBecause Iâm leading.â
âSays who?â
âSays me, the better dancer,â he laughed with a kiss to Remusâ wrinkled nose. âI was forced into dance classes throughout my entire childhood. This is my chance to show off.â
âSo itâs all about you, huh?â Remus teased, pressing their foreheads together.
âIâm the captain,â he whispered. âItâs always about me.â
Remus whacked him on the chest and pulled away with a roll of his eyes to grab the carton off the counter again. âNot that your ego needs any more boosting, of course.â
âThatâs what I keep you around for.â Sirius snuck up behind him as Remus began pouring the cream and gathered him up in another hug, nearly sloshing the cream over their stove.
âHey!â
âDance with me, mon loup.â
âBut dinnerââ
âBut practice.â He pressed close to Remusâ back, rocking them back and forth to the rhythm. âI hear it makes perfect.â
âWe already had practice today, and I have the sore muscles to prove it,â Remus grumbled, though he set his spoon aside and turned to drape an arm over Siriusâ shoulders. âIs that good enough for you to show off, captain mine?â
âAll yours,â Sirius said into his lips as they stepped away from the stove. It was easy to dance with Remusâthere were a few stepped-on toes and laughing stumbles, but he was as graceful on land as on the ice. Oh, and Sirius loved him on the ice, all long legs and perfect footwork. Remus may not have been stuffed into suits for an unfortunate number of ballroom dance classes, but he could hold his own in their kitchen on a Tuesday night.
âWe still havenât picked a song,â Remus said quietly.
Sirius hummed, dipping him back a few inches just to see him smile. Iâd dance to anything with you.

EVE𼺠I loved that fic so so much and Finn and Leo thinking about wanting kids made my heart melt! If you can Iâd love it if you could please write them deciding its time to have that baby?
Food and love and family and all sorts of wonderful things because, in the immortal words of Aziraphale, "I'm soft". Cubs credit goes to @lumosinlove and Grace (also found here) is mine <3
TW for implied past car accident
Grace was a wonder.
âCareful,â Leo chided, holding the spoon out with a steady hand. She glanced up at him, then leaned forward and blew gently; the steam billowed for a moment before disappearing into her mouth.
Her little face lit up with a kind of joy Logan wasnât sure his heart could handle.
Leo grinned, and Logan was definitely sure his heart was going to throw itself bodily at their feet. âItâs good?â
âCâest bon!â Grace announced. âIs it time?â
âNot yet, peaches, we still have to do the green beans.â Leo set her down on her stepstool, brushing a hand absently over the top of her head as he turned back to the counter. âThe soupâs got another half hour, too.â
âWhy?â
âSo some of the water can boil off.â
âWhy?â
âBecause that makes it taste better.â
âWhy?â
Leo looked into the living room, his smile barely hidden, and Logan set his newest pile of bookmarks down to crack his knuckles. God bless your goalie patience. âBecause all the tasty things you put in get to mix when the water goes away, mon chou,â he said as he padded into the kitchen. Grace stood on her toes and tilted her head his wayâhe pressed a kiss just above the small scar by her brow and she bumped his chin in response. âIt smells great in here.â
âDonât sound so surprised,â Leo teased, his lips brushing the corner of Loganâs mouth. Fucking hell, Logan was far too old to be blushing that hard from a single kiss, but when had he ever been able to hide his feelings from his boys?
âNever surprised,â he murmured back. It was Leoâs turn to go pink as he stirred the soup once more. 13 years together, and he was still as goddamn adorable as the day Logan first set eyes on him. âFinn?â
Leo snorted. âStill fighting the garden.â
âThat thing is going to drive him crazy,â Grace said in an uncanny imitation of her tallest parent. She leaned against Loganâs frontâeven with both arms wrapped around his waist, her hands didnât touch. âPapa, you should help him.â
âShould I?â
âOuais. I can help with the green beans.â
âI thinkâŚâ Logan trailed off, lowering his voice conspiratorially as Grace perked up and shuffled closer. âI think you should go help in the garden so I can keep an eye on this one and make sure he doesnât eat all the beans before dinner.â
âWould he do that?â she whispered in horror.
It took everything in Loganâs power to maintain his poker face. âOne hundred percent. And youâre big and strong enough to get those weeds out with no problem, eh?â
Bingo. Grace was gone in a whirlwind of polka dots and denim, pausing for only a moment to slide her shoes on (no socks, a heinous habit she picked up from Logan-didnât-want-to-know-where) before barreling into the backyard with a cry of âIâm here to help!â that made a small bird flee from their magnolia tree.
Logan didnât waste a secondâLeoâs lips were salty from the chicken broth when they found his own, his shirt soft and well-worn where it twisted in Loganâs hands. He heard the sound of a wooden spoon on the counter before a hand found his lower back. âShe called you âpapaâ,â Leo said into his mouth.
âShe did.â It was hardly more than an exhale. The feelings were too big, too deep for words. Logan had never been able to feel the easy way.
âThatâs, what, ten for you?â Leo nudged their noses together and kissed him again. âAlways the MVP.â
A burst of shrieking laughter from the yard silenced any excuse Logan would have mumbled out. Finnâs voice followed, incoherent save for his audible happiness. After eight months, the four of them had finally started edging out of the adjustment phase and into the slow understanding that they could be a familyâan odd one, no doubt, one that would draw more attention than Logan preferred, but a family nonetheless.
Grace had started asking for things, like sneakers or stick-on earrings. She didnât flinch when a car started down the block anymore (Logan hoped the well-healed scar meant she didnât remember the accident, but it wasnât fair to ask) and took shameless advantage of the child seat on Finnâs bike. She was messy and confusing and Logan was positive he had never loved something so small so much.
Leaving hockey had been rough for each of them in its own way. Finn had been the firstâone last close call with a concussion was where he drew the line, much to Loganâs surprise and delightâfollowed by Leo, who had never actually explained why.
It just seems right, he had said with a shrug when they were in bed one night. The summer heat had forced them to turn on every box fan they owned, but Logan could hear Leoâs relief even over the droning buzz. The teamâs in good shape. 30âs a nice, even number. By the way, Harzy, your books came and I put them on the porch. And that had been the end of it.
Logan had his own reasons to call it a day, most of which he hadnât been able to put a name to but never regretted. He could still play at a high level if he wanted to. He still loved hockey with every bit of his heart and soul. Much of his family was still connected to it in one way or another, not that Remus or Sirius would ever stray too far from the rink.
He had won enough Cups and broken enough fingers to have a new dream to chase.
The leaves were just starting to turn all shades of warm red-brown against the rain-soaked green of the grass. Finn and Grace had finally settled down next to each other in the dirt and dug into the massive network of mint that was trying to make a resurgence despite Loganâs best efforts and Leoâs best swear words. Sweat rucked Finnâs hair up in the back; Graceâs overalls were going to be absolutely ruined by the time they were done.
âThatâs another load of laundry,â Leo mused.
Logan hummed, tucking his head beneath Leoâs chin. âIâm going to find the inventor of the washing machine and kiss them on the mouth.â
âDo the same for laundry detergent, would you? And say itâs from me.â
âKids are so grimy.â
Leo smiled into his temple and Logan turned to meet him for another chaste peck. âYou say that like itâs a bad thing. Weâll hose âem off before they come inside.â
âBeans?â
âBeans.â
(They did spray both their husband and their child with the garden hose before they were allowed into the house. Thoroughly, unapologetically, and with unbridled glee.)
