If you’re not sure about something use a bunch of references. I do it all the time. Pull pics off the internet or use your own refs for consistency.

I fill my canvas with references and move them where they’re most helpful for me

Line weight is a nice thing to have as well. Leaving the outer lines and different layers of ex: clothing have thick lines, and details having smaller lines. And then transitioning when a line becomes one or the other

This sketch is on the messier side more me, which is fine. Getting the idea down is good, and you can make as many sketch layers as it takes to get it where you want it before cleaning it up. Or you could colour the sketch, I do that plenty.

I don’t always do all these things but they do help a lot and I AM STILL LEARNING!!!
