Venues and Vows
âWeâre getting married! Weâre getting married!â Skylar sang out in a childlike tune as everyone walked into the palace and all started whooping, whistling and hollering as they split off, checking out the place. The brunette turned and grinned at Gerald who was following behind her, holding her hand. âWeâre getting married.â Was all he replied with a grin and nod, causing her to squeal and hop right up into his arms, her legs wrapped tightly around his waist and arms around his neck to support herself without needing his extra help. âHow long until your family starts getting here?â She asked, remembering him having mentioned it in the car, but remembering no real details of what he was saying once she saw their venue up ahead.Â
âWould you two like a tour of the place? Theyâll be moving bags into everyoneâs rooms here shortly and you can grab some privacy before the party arrives.â Their wedding planner chimed in with an eyebrow quirked and Skylar looked from her back to Gerald, before slipping off of him with a pout and standing on her own two feet again. âIâd love a tour.â Gerald got a call right then and she nodded at him before stepping through the double doors under the grand entry staircase and looked around the first large ballroom which was considered their dining hall. The two stayed close to the front entrance until Gerald found them and joined in on the little tour and they were shown up to the main suite along with what would be the bachelor and bachelorette suites. âAnd this is where Iâll end your tour, your bags should be inside already, you have a couple of hours before weâre going to be running through the rehearsal. Your dresses should be arriving here in the next half an hour and Iâll get them all streamed and ready for you.â Skylar gave a nod and short thanks before the two were reminded of the path to get back to the main hall when they were done in their room and Gerald wrapped up the chat.Â
As he started to unpack his bag and hang up his clothes, Sky walked to the double glass doors and opened them to let in the nice breeze and stepped out onto the balcony, laughing and waving down at Jessica and Alex who spotted her from across the lawn. âSo have you finished your vows, almost-husband?â She asked as she turned back to the room.
