Talking to an athlete (preferably football and nba players, don’t have much insight on any other sports) is the equivalent of talking to a brick wall, a lot of them are dumb and lack substance and relies on their money and clout in terms of what they bring to the table. I talked to a football player and ended up ghosting him because it was clear that despite having money, he was out of my league intellectually. When it comes to athletes, there’s a reason why they gravitate towards the standard Instagram model rather than a career women because they’re easier to manipulate if we’re really being honest. They want a girl who’s willing to go the games and stop what they’re doing to support their “athlete bae” so if your educated, have a good head on your shoulders and are goal orientated, you’re not going to have much in common with them. Wouldn’t recommend, but this is my opinion.
