Theo couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The very same woman that had caused him so much pain, making a living in the community he now considered his own, pretending she was someone else. Syd had been close by Theo’s side growling since the moment she saw her. Even Syd recognized her. “Bullshit she can’t!” Theo responded, insistently. He realized how much of an asshole he seemed like now, but he wouldn’t stand for someone so dangerous in their community. It wasn’t safe with her in it. “How did she know I was talking to her if she couldn’t hear me? How did she know what I said? I know her, she heard me just fine when she was cutting me up last time I saw her. You’re a fucking monster, how dare you come here.”
she knew where this was going instantly. moving her lips, she hoped he could understand, to stop drawing attention. i felt your feet on the ground. and i can read lips--- i’m deaf, not blind. cas moved back, putting a fearful look on her face as she cowered from the dog. eyes were drawn to her, some confused, others disappointed in the man, some moving their arms to help the girl. she gently pulled her arms from them, keeping up the facade. she gave them a look of graciousness, turning back to the man. her hands began moving, this time adding her lips as a form of communication. i’m sorry sir, maybe you’re confused ?
