Seojun did no know how much his heart could handle when it came to Maya but he guessed that if it was doing okay until now, then, it would be alright for the following years as well. He had hope. And he had her as well. A killer combination for sure. “What can I say? I’m like your phone’s alarm, I’m set to remind you of the most important things.” Someone bring the toasted bread because this was cheesy. He had no memory of being like this to his previous girlfriends. He also had no memory of being with them for more than a few weeks but that was another topic that he preferred not to dwell in. Perhaps because he was rather cold to them, distant even. But not with Maya. How did she do that? Was it her persistence? Her stubbornness? The inevitability that they’d end up together because she saw it in one of her visions? Well, whatever it was, he was glad that it happened.
“How could you know that, hm?” He winked at her, teasingly, as the corner of his mouth turned up in a little smirk. “My dreams can be pretty convincing.” A chuckle rolled past his lips and he leaned in to place a peck on her lips, the smirk still lingering ever so slightly. “Oh really? Maybe we should go home later because now I want to listen to your explanation about the differences between a stranger and a strange man. Enlight me.”
she thought about what he said for a brief moment, sucking onto her bottom lip as she let the thought flow about it, thinking if the answer should be quirky or not. or maybe something in between would do. “you said that, not me. i would never compare you to my alarm clock. but more like my calendar or something like that.” to this, it was worth knowing that maya never used her phone’s alarm ( in fact, she only used her phone to pick up calls and answer to text messages and even that was not always a certain call when it came to the young girl who supposedly counted as a ‘millenial’. ) nor did she use a calendar. “although, you know i am a carpe diem kind of girl!”
she shrugged her shoulders for a little, the grin plastered over her lips being a pleasant mixture of teaseful and happy. she liked the fact that she could joke so freely with him and make sure. “i don’t know, i just knew it i guess. you didn’t decide to just carpe some diem when you met me. ” she tilted her head upwards at the peck, indicating that she wanted yet another and that she was not going to accept a refusal or rejection on it. “i will teach you all about it. i happen to be expert on it.. strangers, not strange men. you are luckily the only strange man i know.” she tipped her head to the side, watching him. “and that’s why i love you.” and that had been the first time she had confessed her being in love with him so tenderly and dearly. but it was true, whenever she said those words, she meant it.
