All I've Ever Known

The disruption was small, but mighty. It came hitched to the back of a black Dodge Ram pickup truck one sunny spring afternoon. With it’s shiny gray metal siding and sparkling windows, it stood out like a sore thumb. It was a Tiny House.

The brand new tiny house was delivered to the empty lot at 28 Longbourn Lane, drawing a small crowd around the mailboxes. Gossip was a hot commodity in Princess Park and it had been ages since the neighbors had seen something so novel. Harry Styles could not avoid noticing the commotion, as he lived next door.

“Say Harry, I bet you'll know.” Mrs. Hurst turned to Harry, fishing for the inside scoop. At her side, a fluffy white Pomeranian popped its head out of her pink canvas tote and barked. Snookums looked much like his white-haired owner and they shared a similar feisty energy. Harry had never seen one without the other. “Who’s moving into the Netherfield’s lot?”

The Netherfields had called 28 Longbourn Lane home for over 40 years. But when the couple moved into a nearby nursing home, their trailer sat empty. Nearly three years of neglect took its toll on the old mobile home, until Harry and Zayn had demolished it, hoping the empty land would attract a buyer. It was a shame they couldn’t salvage it. Finally with an empty lot available, a buyer came through.

Harry shrugged. “I don’t know. Last I heard Mom had just found someone interested. I haven’t heard who, though.”

Harry’s mom, Anne, managed Princess Park and its 78 lots on the outskirts of Meryton, Illinois. Their family owned and operated the modest mobile home community since Harry’s grandfather purchased the plot of land along Longbourn Creek in 1952.

“Hopefully the new neighbors won’t be weird. You never know these days,” Mrs. Hurst said, voice heavy with skepticism.

Kacey said, “You were worried about the same thing when I moved here last summer, Mrs H. I’m sure they’ll be nice.”

Beside her, Mitch Rowland laughed. “It is a truth universally acknowledged that anybody that wants to live a tiny home must be lacking in both taste and sense.”

Sony is evil and solo stans/antis are their pawns. Idk about you but I’d rather be a conspiracy theorist than complicit in the harm of members of my community.

Oh, Gabi had a very popular blog here for about eight years. She was extremely detail-oriented and thorough and had the best tagging system of anyone. It was organized in a way that new fans or antis or whoever could just scroll through and see, point by point, why we believe the things we believe. And there were photos and links backing EVERYTHING up.

When the pandemic hit, I was literally getting hundreds of new followers a day for a while. I'm sure Gabi was getting more. And any time someone had a question people couldn't easily answer, we would just say, "Check out Gabi's blog and then come back if you still have questions."

Anyway, at some point during that period, there was a renewed interest in Babygate (because so many new and bored people were discovering it), and something from Gabi's blog was featured in an article on it. One day after that Gabi's blog was gone. She couldn't log in. She messaged Tumblr dozens of times. Her friends messaged. Tumblr was super helpful until we told them what blog we were trying to recover. Then it was crickets. Gabi eventually just gave up and went on with her life.

It was some time later that @daisiesonafield-blog and I realized all of her posts were missing. Tumblr would have no reason to do that. And that's not what naturally happens when a blog deactivates or deletes; their posts still exist on the blogs of everyone who reblogged them. But not Gabi's. They were wiped.

Someone messed up on that headline

Someone just sent that to me. That’s horrendous. And also just shows how boilerplate these PR relationships are.

They must have caught their error because it seems they’ve changed the headline.

Anyway, the Sun has the obligatory gym pap walk this morning. I would recommend that people just pay as little attention as possible to this whole thing.

I know you don't necessarily follow the boys families but Gemma's story today was so funny!! she was trying to bake something and it was some chaos with the recipe but it was so funny and her pace of speech is so similar to Harry's that it made me wonder what it would be like to live in a world where Harry was active on social media like that (not this world where social media is often vile to him and in general) and all the goofy funny stuff we'd see from him.

Oh my god. She’s really so funny and so much like him. That dry British humor kills new. Also, there’s absolutely a fic in this.
