Vox landing a cushy weatherman job easily in the 50s thanks to white privilege but decided he deserved more than what was handed to him. He then, instead of working towards what he wanted, chose to kill the competition and took their place like a baby cuckoo bird.

Al, a success story of someone overcoming the odds, and (likely because of the aforementioned environmental factors spurring him into action) just so happened to go on to become a killer.

Vox, a man who was only successful because of privlege he was born to, and who became a killer to attain more privilege, instead of working for it.
