Do critical care medical professionals suffer from PTSD?
I’m strongly considering a research study (someone please stop me, because I loathe research) into PTSD in critical care medical settings such as emergency departments and intensive care units.
According to the DSM IV, there are five questions that help determine if you’re at risk for PTSD. So, please take this survey and comment and/or reblog with your title (RN, LPN, MD, DO, NP, PA, etc) and score. A score of 3 indicates risk for PTSD.
Please share this. I want every critical care nurse and doctor to see and reblog it. We need help dealing with the pain and suffering we see every day. To do that, we need more research.
