Let me explain, Myra is not completely innocent but she wasn’t taking advantage of her husband. Eddie was a deeply troubled man and like many victims of abuse, the can only find comfort in someone that resembles their abuser. Myra surely took advantage of Eddie need for a wife that almost treated him like her son, but not because she wanted to.

Let’s take as an example Tom Rogan (Bev’s husband): He saw that Beverly was weak and he took advantage of that to make her his little toy that he can manipulate every way he wanted. That is completely different from what happened with Myra and Eddie: they both fell in love with one another, but then Eddie realized how similar she was with Sonia. He wanted to leave, but in the end he stayed because HE WANTED TO.

I’m not saying that their relationship wasn’t toxic and weird, but it isn’t Myra fault if Eddie was abused in his childhood making him acting like a child in some ways. Even Eddie himself says in the book that it isn’t Myra fault because she never wanted to manipulate him like his mother used to do.

Two childhood best friends who spend most of their time together.

One is little and seen as frail by people in his life (mostly because of the traumas he has endured), starting rumors at school about his sexuality. He also also completely obsessed by the other and sees him as this perfect person who can do no wrong to the point he would die for him.

The other is the leader of his respect group that is saw as the strongest, he takes all the problems in his hand, even if it gets to the point he can’t take it anymore and believes he is the one that needs to take care of the first character. He is VERY protective of him. He is also the one who falls in love with the female lead in the story, even if sometimes it seems like he still cares more about the first character than her.

While the similarities between Eddie and Will are pretty clear, even if Finn Wolfhard is the one to play Mike, Bill is ten times more similar to him than Richie (who is way more similar to Dustin btw).

And let’s remember who were the first one by Eddie and Will’s side when they got hurt? Who were the protecting them from the bullies? Who were the ones that always tried to confort them when they were scared? BILL AND MIKE RESPECTIVELY.

Remember also when Eddie said he would die for him? Or the fact that the happiest memorie about that summer was Richie telling him how good he was at finding places? Or when he called Richie first when he was scared? Or when he hold Richie’s shirt when he was scared? Or when he spent half a page saying how amazing he was? Or when he faced IT just to save Richie?

Richie's hair would actually be auburn and Myra's/Sonia's strawberry blonde, BUT STILL EDDIE SURE LOVES SOME GINGERS. I know that red is your favorite color but calm down boy.
