The English name of the female protagonist in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, Hikari (Japanese name), is "dawn," and the English name of Team Galactic boss Akagi is "cyrus" (Persian for sun). It's just too good.

In Japanese, Akagi is the name of a tree, which is similar to Giovanni's Japanese name, Sakaki. Hikari means light.
