The staff of Mercury: Boots out of legend in my campaign An excerpt from this session: There is a bit of a commotion toward the front of the store. It seems a particularly worn tomb colonist had presently tried on a pair of jaunty yellow boots. Satisfied with the fit, she attempted to take the boots off again, only to fail to loosen the laces properly. With an indelicate tug, there was a sort of dry crackle, a creak and a pop followed by a shriek of alarm. The poor woman's foot remained inside the jaunty yellow boot. She now stares at it in shock (presumably, as her face was largely obscured by a veil) while several onlookers rushed forward to help, including the clerk, who politely extracts payment for the boot which is clearly cursed now and can no longer be sold in good conscience. The embarrassed tomb colonist sticks her leg back into the jaunty yellow boot, which now serves the purpose of holding her foot on. "That," Wheezes a dusty mummy at Bones' side, "Could have been any of us." A cautionary tale... The Clerk stands genially by as the tomb colonist puts on the other boot, ready with a dustbin to receive her discarded kicks.

Today I spent an hour reading to @emtjeejooblaa and @dravatti from the book "Frankenstein (or: the modern Prometheus)" by Mary Shelley. This book was gifted to us by Dravatti for Christmas and its full of all kinds of pop-ups and illustrations on almost every page.
