Day in and day out I wait for the new reports from the front lines, and I can’t help but feel this bitter taste that this war is far to easy. The Imperials are planning something and it’s rackin’ my mind right now... twelve protect us, for there is a storm coming and I’m just not sure we’re ready to face it.

Hey everyone it’s me again, Hassan Pakravan. Today is a special day to me and its something that I really love to share and talk about with my friends and anyone else who would be interested in learning what this day means to not only me as a person but as an Armenian. Everyone knows about the Great War/World War 1, that war alone shaped the rest of the last century and still affects us as a world to this very day. Military and civilians alike were dying in the hundreds of thousands every day due to the nature of the conflict. Though today I want to shift our attention to a more forgotten issue. Ottoman Empires forced removal and subjected genocide of the Armenian people. In the eastern provinces of the empire there were large populations of Armenians that the empire began to see as a threat since the empire was majority Muslim and Armenians were majorly Christians who they believed would act as allies to the Russian empire when it came down to the conflict. To ‘resolve’ this issue that was a thorn in the Ottoman Empires side they executed 200 Armenian intellectuals and began the forced march of Armenian civilians out to the Syrian desert. They starved, beat and murdered these innocent people in hopes to wipe us out and lay claim to the Caucus regions for themselves. 1.5 million Armenians died in this Genocide and for no good reason other than to take our land from us but we are a hearty people who to this very day demand Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide. So far only recently did they write it off as a massacre which isn’t good enough for us and it shouldn’t be for you. I want to thank you for taking the time to read over this quick blurb and I implore all of you people to read some articles on the matter and help spread the word and just like tell people that this was a thing. Last thing we want is history to forget that this event ever happened.
